Flash,

I know that you have been watching this board so I thought I might write this open letter to you. Since we know that this is someone from Neil Woods office, I suspect you are an OTVIII as Sylvia wouldn’t have asked you to do this if you were not OTIII or above. So I assume you are Neil Woods or his wife.

I heard you were a dentist. You may have received professional training for dentistry, but I can tell from your post that you are poorly educated. It seemed that you could not adequately explain why shock treatment is bad. A few of us were even trying to help you. Alonzo was throwing you softballs and you still couldn’t hit one.

I suspect that the reason you could not articulate why shock treatment is bad is because you really don’t know why it is bad. It is not bad because L. Ron Hubbard said it is bad. It is not bad because it makes a person an illegal PC. It is not bad because CCHR says it is bad. It is not bad because IAS reges say it is bad. It is not bad because psychiatrists are SPs

Shock treatment is bad because although it may seem in the short run that the person has an increased awareness and better control over their lives, the long term aggregate effect is that the person losses some rationing ability and lose their capacity to discover their true nature. Their mind has been short circuited to circumvent their emotional pain.

And this is the same thing Scientology does to a person--the person losses some rationing ability and losses their capacity to discover their true nature. Scientology short-circuits a person’s mind so they feel a release from their pain and troubles, but the aggregate effect is that the person loses their capacity to think and differentiate. Scientology replaces that lost ability with monoideistic tendencies. There is one why, one who, one cause, only one idea at a time. Instead of increasing their inter-textual capacity for thinking, reading, and understanding, the person gets reduced to only being able to think, read, or discuss in simple sentences, definitions, and one line statements. That is how L. Ron Hubbard writes his Scientology. And this is how you wrote and reasoned on this board.
