Eerie silence in Scientology Shillebritycamp!

Thread at OCMB / Where's all the celebrity scientolgists? (http://ocmb.xenu.net/ocmb/viewtopic.php?t=30868)

Isn't the silence perfectly deafening?

Not that they are in any habit of speaking up in support of a fellow scilon celebrity in a shitstorm.. The CruiseMeister was left out there in front of the fan with only his DM T-shirt to be spattered..

Hmm.. The celebs aren't quite as brainwashed as regular scientologists. They read newspapers and watch TV. They are generally allowed to do their jobs without snide remarks about it being 'other fish to fry'.. They're celebs..

This shitstorm could make anything come lose!

Celebs keeping away for good.. Trying to stay under the radar.. Celebs chosing to believe the 'entheta' and publicly denounce DM and the Siniste Cult of Scientology.

Travolta deciding that NOW is the time! - And let God sort 'em out!

Anne Archer watching events with the worried brows of a mother.. Watching her son, who proudly (or incoherently) proclaims he's a son of a bitch..

Jenna Elfman wondering if DM would have beat up babies, had there been any at Gold Base? - Maybe that's why babies aren't allowed in the Sea Org?

Will Smith pondering if he can be a real 'Hancock'.. The idea starts to look like a lost cause.

The CruiseMeister.. Well, he could make Katie prufusely happy, by announcing: "That's it! - We're done with that shit!" - He'll probably have to hire a new security staff. (There are SP's looking for jobs!)

And David Miscavige.. Does he feel it too? - That the best cause of action right now is to distance himself from himself by a wide margin? - Hmm.. He's stuck there..

Very smart observation SP

This whole thing is not going away anytime soon. Now that the :shithitfan: , DM the evil dwarf :alien2: is cornered.
Davis looks like a raving lunatic and Scientology like a bad horror movie.

I repeat myself but am I EVER glad I'm out of there! :sing: :woohoo:

I hope so, but the shills also don't get to see ANY of the bad stuff within the cult, so it might be completely unreal to them. They're quite coddled. At least the regular public have probably been part of a screwed reg cycle or seen a staff member looking miserable. Celebs are used to seeing outrageous lies about themselves daily on tabloids and even wrongs in the regular press. So--don't know how they'll see it through their lenses. I'm sure the handlers are out working with them all as we speak.

Celebs are definitely a different breed of scientologists. For one they still somewhat have their freedom. They also are more aware of what is going on in the world due to the nature of their jobs and therefore aren’t as easily manipulated. Why do you think TC has surrounded himself and his wife with scientologists handlers?

SchwimmelPuckel

Yeah.. But celebs also know that outrageous lies create a similar PR stink that outrageous truth would.. It doesn't matter to a 'Public Image' whether it's a lie or not... So the cults defence, that it's lies.. May simply not work. Because a celeb is very familiar with maintaining a Public Image. Lies or no.. Scientology has become a contagious stinker. AIDS for a Public Image..

But this story is by no less than four members of CoS staff.. And they corrobate the stories that the cult has denied for years. It's the accuulated number of witnesses and their importance that makes this 'News'. It has gravity as truth.. Very hard to deny..

Many Scientology celebrities are regulars on Twitter where you can send them short messages and links directly without anything being handled by managers, PR reps, or culties.

Just sayin'. :coolwink:

To unstick him -- Some one close to DeMon should ask him "What were you before you became that? Maybe someone could ask him to "Point which way was in!" Anyone remember the LX Lists?

I heard Zenu escaped. Maybe we could use his Mountain Trap. I think DeMon's gonna need a long time to just be quiet and come to his senses. I would love to be a fly on the wall.

True but I was thinking. All that has been said in the last 3 days has damaged Scientology image and maybe just maybe the celebs, at least some of them, might want to distance themselves from it. You know, alot of celebs are very self centered and their image is vital to them.

This is not about helping those that have been abused for them its about how much it will affect their popularity.

We will see but I believe some will just distance themselves.

Its almost inevitable in the wake of all of this.

Good point. Totally see that. Anyone know how much pull Scio still has behind the scenes in Hollywood? I know it used to be pretty thick. Info I had from a guy who spent some time with Travolta said that during JT's time away, he wouldn't consider saying anything bad about CoS or outright be "offlines" for career reasons. They had so many folks connected within the system, even with his name he was afraid of the impact of appearing to be disaffected.

Whitedove,

You are right, celebs should be PR minded and see that this is career poison, I think some are there already---just not speaking out for fear of retaliation.

With this much press, I think they will be asked, and it will be hard for them to just refuse to comment. What I see is a bunch of celebs saying "That's not the Scientology I know--I've never seen anything like that and wouldn't have anything to do with it if I did." That way they disavow the actions without disavowing the CoS.

What I *don't* see is a bunch of Scio celebs making the rounds on the talk shows to do repair work, I don't think even TC will mount an actual defense at this point.

I could be wrong tho--I'm constantly surprised by these people.

TC is already considered a lunatic by most. Plus, he is a friend of DM! Remember, he was his best man at his wedding. I wonder how he will get out of that one!

If he try to 'save his religion' he will look even more nuts than he already does. Not a good move from his part.

But, true. Hard to say which way he will take or any other celebs for this matter. I agree with you. I am also surprised by them.

I wonder if Jenna will ask on TV 'did you rape babies?'
This is so ludicrous. I still cant get over that one!:eyeroll:

Handling "entheta" is completely off hat for a celeb, so my guess is that they are keeping a low profile and wait till things have settled down.

If you are a practising Scio, whether celeb or not, then there is nothing you can do in the face of such entheta, but deny any knowledge of it and try to not cross too many roads with critics.

The CofS is definitely not going to brief anyone on how to deal with it, so basically as a practising Scio you are on your own. In another activity the CoB would resign to save the image of the company, but things are way more complicated within the CofS and resignation is definitely not in DMs mindset.

Scientologists are the masters of denial.

They will be keeping a low profile (celebs).
But they HAVE to go out sometime. They have to BE SEEN.
This is not going to quiten down for a long time.
Somebody is going to ask them about this shit- even if it's just for a comment. They have to know what they are going to say. They are going to have to find out WTF is going on in this church which is virtually a part of their identity. They have to know now (unlike before), whether they are lying to people - or if it looks like they are lying.
Shit sticks - and they have to know how to keep too much from sticking to them and their public image. They have already seen Cruize become an object of ridicule in connection with scientology.

This is a great post Schwimmie. Will celebs who are not Scientologists want to distance themselves from Scientology celebs they are friends with, such as Oprah and Cruise? What's the buzz in Hollyweird I wonder?

Dont count out the fact that they (Co$) have something damaging or some nasty little secret on each and every major celeb (found in auditing) that the celeb does not want let out.

When I left, I understood that this was the case with Travolta.

I think that lying low will be their best option.

Everything about Celebs in Scientology has already been beat to death, righteously!

My concern is that Davie is on the Freewinds, in a perfect place to flee without the intervention of the US Homeland Security. The US will likely be reluctant to flag (sic) his passport, given that he is a religious (sic) leader, so he has likely freedom to go wherever he wants and whenever he wants.

My vote is to South Africa, to the cult's new castle in the sky.

Interestingly, Kirstie Alley has been going off about Perez Hilton deserving to get hit. This has been about 50% of all she has twittered the past 2 days.

Not that you can blame her, he's no doubt said plenty of mean things to her and her friends, but it pretty ironic since "physical violence" is sort of the key topic that she's NOT talking about as well.

The Dinky DB Dictionary Definition reads:

SCIENTOLOGY CELEBRITY: noun
1. Anyone whose bank account balance equals or exceeds their tech estimate.
2. A terminal in unethical possession of substantial, yet unforfeited, influence or assets.
3. Any actor whose imagination is so extraordinary they are able to see the reality of Senior Management's mock ups.

That is a dangerous game for Scientology to even consider playing, especially now when their credibility and believability are about three notches below laughable

Oh gosh that's right. And these celebrities' careers depend on their reputations. What a trap.

But with the release of confessional materials in the SP Times, and the ensuing publicity about it, hopefully people will be more cognizant of that possiblity before they spill their guts.

Agreed. If this were to happen, it would be another major footbullet for the cult.

Yeah the cult is going to have to remain silent for awhile and just wait for time to pass on this series by the St. Pete Times. About the only thing the cult can do right now is try to handle this thing internally with their staff and public (including celebs).

I think its worth recalling that Marty spent quite a bit of time
with Tom Cruise, probably was his auditor.

Interesting to see how that plays out.
