View Full Version : Can Fair Game DESTROY Scientology? ?

There's always been a lot of talk about how many celebrities have had enough of Scientology and think it's a load of nonsense, yet are afraid to speak out as the church would view them as fair game and release the contents of their PC folder to discredit the celebrity and pretty much make them look luck a schmuck.
But wouldn't this have the exact OPPOSITE effect, by revealing that the church DOES in fact reveal the contents of a PC folder to use against whoever defects and speaks out against Scientology. ?????
Thus incriminating the Church and revealing their ugly ways???

Good point. I know that there was some buzz about that after the CofS revealed confessional data for the people who spoke out in the SP times article. People inherently know that's just wrong.
On the other hand, you can't blame people for not wanting their secrets exposed; especially celebs whose careers depend on public perception. But if it's ever done to someone, I hope that they speak out about it.

It probably would, but what celebrity wants to take the chance on being publicly humiliated and having their credibility and career in tatters just to prove that the Co$ uses confidential data against ex members to blackmail them into silence? Such is the rub with blackmail.
All the more reason for all of us to contact and inform every Scientologist you know of what is going on.

has there been any retaliation against Jason Beghe??

Jason was courageous, but he may have had a pretty clean PC folder to begin with.
What you need is a union of a dozen artists/celebrities to come out all at once and shell shock the believers.

The Church of Scientology HAS BEEN virtually destroyed already
by Fair Game, because all of the effective, capable, productive,
Big Beings have already been kicked out.
It was a sad day when I finally concluded that LRH was the
original start of this insanity. He had the chance to do it right and failed.
No wonder he doesn't want to show his face on this planet ! :grouch:

Celebrities are just like anybody else. It would just take getting fed up with lies, manipulation, silly body thetans. One day the Hollywood dam might break -- then the focus on their celebrities might backfire.

For me, a PC folder that's not so 'clean' adds more shock to scientology's nasty fairgame practice -- in such a case it takes FAR more guts and honor to blow the whistle.
scientology is so nasty -- I can't even believe there's a need to have to have this discussion.

After listening to his entire interview, I think he reached a certain threshold which allowed him to finally see the cult trying to turn his brain into Hubbardian mush. He was lucky enough to snap out of it and see, the end product of Hubbard's tech is to create introverted subservient zombies serving Hubbard's cult.

They haven't done anything to Jason as far as I know. I don't think they'd be quite that stupid.

What are they going to do? other than tell people to stay away from him because he's been brainwashed by the evil psychs, and even that is a problem for the cult, since OTs are supposed to be immune to that. All they can do is add his name to the ever growing list of words never to be spoken.

I was responding to the OP's idea of trying to destroy a celebrity from data in their PC folders. Like going to the media with the information or something.
Even they wouldn't be stupid enough to do that (holds breath).

Hi Jase,
I've never been in scn or in any other cult, so please take what I say say with a larger grain of salt.
As far as I understand, PC folders contain lots and lots of very personal data.
A hypothetical example:
Although information about "Joe Nobody's masturbation habits" may not be interesting or just slightly amusing for the general public, it would be very different for a celebrity and could easily harm and/or destroy a career forever.
As the majority here knows much better than I ever will, PC folders contain much more than what I mentioned above, from all aspects of one's personal life which one wouldn't want to read about in a newspaper.
Would you want to be interviewed about the most intimate details in your life? A TV interview about my most intimate details would probably leave me relatively unharmed, but I sure wouldn't like it. And I'm just a nobody, no celebrity at all.
My conclusion: A celebrity could suffer a lot of harm, while scn could leave the scene relatively unruffled. "This information was published by a disturbed member who has been severely punished for this deed and removed from his post immediately. We have taken measures so that such gross violation of church policy will never happen again."
There. That's it. Case closed.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen this pattern occur in the past: Whatever goes wrong, gets blamed on an individual, whatever goes right, the church takes credit for.
About some of the other Fair Game tactics: I really wouldn't want to go through what let's say Paulette Cooper had to go through or any of the other Fair Game victims.
However, this is just the opinion of MrNobody

NEVER underestimate the stupidity (and bloody-mindedness) of OSA.

OSA has been rendered impotent by Miscavige exercising Hubbard's motivational tactics and policies, they are too afraid to screw up to do anything.

THEY JUST DID ! They pissed him off enough for him to do (something) to a process server. That's all I know.

That's the TMZ news report (if that can be called a news report)

What if Beghe didn't hit anybody, but the process server/PI said he did? It's a he said/she said and the process server's word may trump whatever Beghe says.
Keep your camera by the door!

I am not surprised to hear this about celebrities. Frankly if the average Joe Schmoe is afraid to come out it does not surprise me in the least that a celeb doesn’t want to pop out of the closet. But I think it is more than the fear of exposure. Let’s not underestimate the amount of influence the cult has over its members. The fact that the way the trap works – you are totally wrapped up in it. When you get in and get in deep you can be facing the fact that: you employer may be a scieno, your doctor, dentist, all your immediate family, all your friends,, where I ate lunch, where I got my car fixed, etc., etc.. This is how my life was. It took YEARS to detach from all of this. Frankly when I decided to leave the cult I was truly surprise at how many of the cult tentacles were embedding into my life in so many facets.
Celebs have handlers. Look at tom cruise and Katie Holmes. They are surrounded by scientology handlers. Katie’s BFF was hand picked by DM. tom cruise fired his manager and put his scion sister there (and look what happened to his career after that BTW). All I am saying is with all of the influence I had as a complete non-celeb, I can only imagine the amount of control being exerted over the scilon celebs.
