Musings from a former scientologist

What mind control feels like...

It feels like heaven. It feels like hell. The sensation that one should be aware of something but can never quite work out what it is – a huge frustration. Like one has an itch but can’t quite locate it to scratch it and make it go away...

What it feels like to begin to shed mind control…

Like one has been thrown onto a huge pile of rocks – at speed...

What it feels like to stand back in the real world…

Enjoying every breath. Noticing the hairs on the back on your hand and adoring them. Loving learning to walk again and enjoying the times you fall down. Laughing at the bruises and tears.

Knowing that anything is possible. Knowing that one’s mind was stolen and that you were strong enough to claw it back.

Triumphant in the journey home to self. There's much more.

It feels like everything will be taken care of. That one has ALL the answers. Therefore it brings great comfort.

For a few weeks, as a new public member, I believed this was a possibility, but before long I was disabused of this silly notion.

Oh wow...thanks for this! I would also wish to share some more view about what it feels like to stand back in the real world....he shares all the beauty and wonder of it...but there's also other things:

Seeing, accepting, allowing oneself to bond with others that were never scn's...

Feeling, enjoying and increasing affinity without worry about anything else but that...

Getting through and stopping the mental and spiritual degrading of everyone around you...

Gradually changing the way you think of those around you who don't seem to 'be quick and proper' in their communication and ack skills...

NOT going nuts when people don't ack you immediately, ack your emails within a few days (or hours).
