She was the first, and one of the coolest, SO I encountered in the early 90's.
From what I recall, she had been in Scn and the SO for quite some time.
I hope, and trust, it isn't true what I have read about elderly SO being offloaded.

I knew Nancy, she was course admin in CTO more recently. She was a feisty one. She is one who has become quite institutionalized through all the years in the SO. She was supposed to be one of a handful who were to be offloaded for reasons such as, lack of bridge progress or other perceived crimes. She got quite nervous about it and what would happen to her in the wog world full of SP's and DB's.
But AFAIK, this little offload project died on the vine due, partially to your typical SO order of the day mentality and the lack of sec check auditors. They did unload Bill Allen for those who know him. I don't know the whole story on him but from where I sat it look liked Jim Byrnes had it in for him and wanted to make him an example of a slovenly and slack SO member.

When you take your next course, tell her I said, "WASSSSSUP?!"

I knew her, she was awesome. Very nice to me even when I was on the EPF or in the minor's school at CTO.
She did a lot of hard work - I can't see them letting her go when she was still productive.
But then, they aren't always logical....

Yeah, Nancy is quite a being. Good to know others think highly of her as well.

Nancy was a very upbeat and wonderful person. Loved having her as my Course Admin. At the time of the original post, she was posted in the events unit doing call-in full time  after doing the Cat B EPF.
