Hi,

I'm looking for some new friends. My husband likes Clearwater so we're staying put (and I don't mind) so I'm "pretending" that I've moved to a new town and need some new friends. After all, I don't really want to remain friends with the CofSers, since if I tell them I'm "out" (what a withhold to carry around from a "friend") they cannot then remain my friend once they know. [Acquaintances and business contacts can remain in the dark, for all I care.]

So... it's out with the old, in with the new! :happydance:

I'm not looking for ex-CofS-ers who want to spend all their time complaining about the CofS or Scn (although that will likely happen in the course of regular conversations, and that's ok). Anyone interested in just hanging out at home, going shopping, going to movies or lunch or dinner, boating, walking or bicycling -- who knows what this will lead to; I might actually "get a life"!

I have to get out of the "grind" of working all the time from sun-up to sun-down, seven days a week (I'm a "Type A" personality already, and the CofS's "need" for more money didn't help that bent of mine).

I'm open to meeting with just about anyone. PM me (private message). We'll exchange phone numbers or email addresses and go from there.

It's going to sound silly, but, look into joining a bowling league. Other than that, take a class at a local community college.

Both are good ways to meet new people.

And I could go to a bar, too, but I don't do that, nor bowl, and ain't interested in local community college clientele (nor the subjects covered in comm coll). Yes, it's a silly comment. :duh: I know how to meet people and know there are a zillion places to meet them. I'm not "terminal hungry". I'm not "lonely". I could also meet people at my work (which I do) and the grocery store. I was referring to meeting people with a similar experiential track as my own. When on the bowling league, do I meet people and introduce myself: "Hi, I'm an ex-Scientologist. Are you one, too?" :whistling:
