OMG, no thread on New Years Event!
The clams are having their event on the 30th of Dec, a Thursday evening instead of NY eve. It is at the AOSH and doors open at 6:30. Last year there were a lot of clams showed up. So this is one of the best times to raid. We can deliver our message directly. Any of you exes that have something to say to CoS, this is the time.
Fatman has lodged the permit, so we meet in the park across from Broadway shopping centre at 6:00 and arrive AOSH at 6:30. We will demonstrate for a couple of hours or until no more Scientologists are arriving.

Well this was quite fun. It was a smallish but very effective raid. There were 8 of us altogether. A couple of people that hadn't been to a demonstration for awhile showed up, so that was great.
We had the small PA system and Gottabrain, Armband Guy and I took turns addressing the arriving Scilons on the subjects of slave labour, imprisonment, regging, having to buy multiple books, thought control, DM's lifestyle, life inside the cult vs real world, complacency with abuse of human rights, confront of what I was saying, thinking for themselves, original goals and purposes vs current scene, comparison of Scn management information control vs communist gov't information control, the $10,000,000 collected to renovate a now condemned building, and the existence of safe houses and help getting re-established if they decide to get out. Let's see, did I forget anything?
The police were there, 4 of them, including an inspector, but didn't give us the runaround as they often have before at event raids. A couple of funny things happened. Mike Gordon was at the front door. I went across to have a word with him. He was extremely hostile. Spitting nails type hostile, and refused to talk to me. 1.5 at high volume, for those of you who still speak cultese. :coolwink: So I went back across the street. I think he then spoke to someone because the music that they were playing to drown us out all of a sudden went so loud the neighbouring buildings were in danger of collapsing from the vibration! :melodramatic: Then he went over and bawed to the police. One of them came over to me and asked if we could turn down the PA. I pointed out that I couldn't even hear the PA over the music (which you couldn't). He said they would turn down the music as well. But the Scilons took about 5 minutes to turn down the music, so we took a break and danced to the music. :stickpoke: :D
:dancer:
They used bus tech again. So the other point of address was just below the bus. This was further away from their big speakers and quite near the stairwell door that they were using to get the people into the building so was actually a pretty good spot. Then some Scilon came out the laundry door with a stereo, put it down on the road with speakers aimed strait at us and cranked it up FULL BLAST tuned to a local radio station playing rap music. So we moved back up.
A little while later, after more bawing to the police, :violin: the inspector came over and asked us if we would mind moving up the street just a little. Someone questioned just how far and from what point, the revolving doors? Then an Anon suggested 14 metres from the revolving front door would be reasonable. I pointed out that we had been down the street on the other side of the bus but had moved back up because their stereo was so loud. He said ask them to turn down the stereo. So we happily moved back down (to the spot almost directly opposite the stairwell door that they were actually using :giggle:) and I went to the laundry door to ask them to turn down the music. And who should be behind the laundry door but Virginia Stewart! Well, Virginia took one look at me and threw a right royal :hissyfit: befitting of the likes of Suri Cruise! She tried to pull the door shut and pulled it right into me. All I was doing was politely asking her to turn down the music as the inspector had suggested. The inspector noticed I was having trouble and quietly signaled me to go back across the street as he was walking over. So I backed off and the door went
SLAM
just as the inspector was walking up to it. (sore foot, Virginia?:hysterical:)
Edward Dickey the security guard saw this and went rushing over to do the PR rescue. He had a short word with the inspector and then picked up the whole stereo and took it away. :giggle: So there we were right across from the entry point they were using with no music interference at all. Shortly after this the inspector got in his car and drove off, waving to us as he passed. :)
So all in all, things went pretty smoothly (for us). Lots of Scilons got to hear what we had to say. And even better, lots of Scilons got to witness OSA antics first hand. As did the local police. :woohoo:
All in all, we were there an hour and a half. I am not sure how many Scilons arrived. There were usually a half dozen or so visible as they arrived and entered, so it was a bit of a trickle but continued for over an hour. Anon Barbie estimated less than 100 but I think there may have been more. But definitely less than last year! The majority were Asian. Nobody but the Anons and the exes looked happy. OSA looked particularly :storm: Not one Scilon appeared to be in party mode, more like they were going to a funeral. And then they will go inside and hear David Miscavige telling them that Anon is dead and defeated. Wonder how many other obvious lies they will need before they wake up.

What a wonderful thing to do. New Year's eh? That means loud thingies are usually more tolerated by The Fuzz.

Not quite yet. We are only one day ahead of you. Silly Scilons have their NY event on the 30th. Maybe because it is so unpopular that they figure no-one would give up their party night to go to one of their impl....er, I mean events. :eyeroll:
