She was a staff auditor for PAC, this was back in 76-77 and sometimes took care of missionaires. She had come from CCLA to the FOLO as I remember. She had her own very special style of dressing with black babydoll shoes, always deep redish purple henna in her hair, and Tea Rose cologne (she always smelled like roses.) She was a wonderful auditor...took me to Clear. I forget her name but never her face, her spirit, her laugh. She was my friend. I wish I could remember her name....it is driving me coo-coo.
Anyone got a clue as to who I am talking about?
:missyou:

Last time I knew she was in training at Flag in 1999.

Thanks Bea.....Who knows where she would be now. I hope not in the lions den.

Of course...the way the shit runs downhill in that place I would not want to be anywhere downhill of it.

Keithe audited me to clear.

Hey, I was continuing my read of your story. I did a mission with Guy White in Caracas. Those crazy yet beautiful Venezuelans.

I also remember Seth Price...Sues child. Sue was on the Life History project with me. She had several little ones over there. Did you know Sue issued my SP declare? Good for her. I wonder if she is feeling the drip, drip, drip of shit comin down from up above.

Ahh the memories.

Caracas Org was in a house, not an office building, when I was there. I only visited it once or twice. I was mainly in Valencia, which is about 2 hours drive. They have a huge 8 story building that they rent on Av de Bolivar.

I loved it in Venezuela. I try to explain to people why it was enjoyable. They cannot understand it. It was not safe when I was down there. Alot of protesting going on. Alot of Chavista's (pro Chavez), which are the ones prone to violence.

Wild place. I did not regret staying as long as I did.

I think it will become Communist real soon. Unfortunately.

I asked the ED there what they will do if that happens. She said the org would just keep running as it does.

----

About Keithe: I think she would have ended up back at CCI, which is where she has been at least since 92. Not sure though. Maybe they made her into a C/S. Could be.

----

Sue Price has always been such a sweetie. So sad she declared you. She was just doing her job. Really harsh, eh? Amazing how quickly friends become "unfriends".

Yes, Seth was my age and we grew up in the same time.

Do you know Jesse Radstrom? Or his parents? Just curious. I remember he used to take those old rubber bands from newspapers (the green and red ones) and tie up all of his short hair in little pig tail things. He had like 20 - 30 of them in his hair.

I never understood why he did that.

I bet we crossed paths.

But I was a squirt. An out ethics child. I was one of them ethics bait kids.:whistling:

I remember we visited both Valencia and Caracas. I really liked it there too! The climate, the flowers, the people were so friendly and Welcoming.

I am not sure it is ever safe down there. It is so different from our reality. I remember when we where therem there had been gunfire and a ruckus in the streets. Like a riot almost. We asked about it, cuz it was crazy! They told us that some guy had shamed a young girl and all of the males from her family went after the family of the guy involved. When they were explaining it, it sounded so casual, like ahh.......... 'this happens every day!'

I remember that the people were beautiful...like a mix of European and indigenous. The orchids and epiphytes were everywhere. The place had almost a party atmosphere. You are right it is hard to explain.

I know she was just doing what she had to do when she declared me. I hear she is still in. I hope she has not lost her spunk. She was alot of fun...Laughed alot.

I remember she was a devoted mom. Had several kids....but dang she maintained a body of a teenager!!!!

I wonder how she dealt with the mess at the Childcare.....there is alot I still dont remember. I do remember Bill, her husband back then. I remember that she enjoyed the project because we had clout and she got to see her kids and hubby everyday because we were right there in the complex. We did not have alot of restrictions on us...as long as we got our work done.

I dont remember Jesse. The sir name Radstrom sounds very familiar. I bet we did cross paths Bea.

You were one of those PR threat kiddies!

Honestly, I don't remember any bad kids. Just kids.

I remember some not so nice adults though! Those were a dime a dozen.

I did get caught a couple times stealing. Once from teh Self Realization Fellowship parking lot (they had a register out there) and once from the supermarket where I stole a large bag of doritos. Very hard to hide a large bag of doritos. I did not figure that out at the time.

I was doing my own thing.

I am lucky, very very lucky, that I never was introduced to drugs. Ever. Despite being on the streets. I feel fortunate for that, for sure.

Yes indeedy...because there were lots-o-drugs out there. It really is a good thing that you evaded them.

Bag of Doritos!!!... mere childs play....

When I was in the 7th grade, I started out with the small goods like twinkies and Hostess pies..that was the small time stuff. At 14, I went big time.

I got into this thing of sticking albums under my shirt and walking out of Kmart with them. This is in the days before CDs or even cassettes. I got away with it a few times with as many as 4 at a time, and thought I was getting really good at it until I was caught. I cried like an infant. They had my mom and dad pick me up and man was I terrified...I thought I was going to go to jail.....cuz they called the police on me.

That marked the end of my 'life of crime.'

They did call in the police about the bag of doritos. Scared the crap out of me.

Didnt stop me from stealing though.

I just didnt steal from there.

Oh!!! ASHO used to have vending machines (before the renos) over on the first floor, by LA Org. They had a closet where they kept refill supplies. It had a vent area on the door that I cuold fit through. I climbed in one day (whilst being blown from school) and took a box of snickers bars. Like a 24 or 36 pack. The big candy bars.

And I walked the streets, mainly over behine the parking structure - over between Fountain and Santa Monica... And I was giving each dog a snickers bar as I was going down the street.

I also ate a bunch of them. That was my only food for the day.

----

And one time, me and my best friend David (most of my best friends were guys, even though I am female, last I checked) found a box FULL of coins from a change machine that was left open. We took the whole box in a black plastic trash bag and then hid the whole thing in the parking structure near an abandoned car. We took a little bit each day and spent it. Lasted a couple months. I think it may have been a few hundred dollars.

---

And they used to have a doberman pinscher (2 of them actually). One was my friend. His name was Sundance. I loved him. He used to be tied up in the parking structure. I would feed him old scraps of whatever we all ate from dinner. Then I would untie him and play with him.

He was a smart dog. I managed to teach him tug-og-war and tag. He would actually go hide and wait to be found. And when it was his turn, he would wait 10 seconds before coming to find me.

One time I found a six pack of beer in an abandoned car on the top level. I poured the beer out on the ground and Sundance started lapping it up!! I let him have a 6 of them.

Ever seen a drunk dog? Man, that was funny!!! He loved it.

What a sweetie.

My "overts" are pleasure moments.... sigh. These are not overts. These are part of life. Part of growing up.

It was fun. And worth it.

They're overts only from the perspective of the person we've grown up and been socialized into.

From the perspective of a child, they're the times of having fun and living life freely.

Total Freedom.
