ESMB and XSO!

I would like to congratulate Emma and Mick Wenlock for the work they have done in putting these two safe spaces together.

They are both remarkable spaces, for they are allowing people to communicate and connect with each other.

Further they provide incredible documentation as to the long time effects and results of Scientology and other Techs.

That they are mythbusters is obvious.

Both boards show that knowing about upper level material does not kill or cause people to go insane.

The boogie-men that have been used to control people are reduced to insignificant significances.

So many SPs producing so much gain! Tsk! Tsk!

So many people being successful after leaving Scio!

But more importantly – ESMB and XSO provide incredible real time data as to the state and products of almost 60 years of history – much of it has been hidden.

Again, thanks guys!

Alan

PS: I put this under the Independent Heading as both Emma and Mick are very independent! :)

Alan,

Thank you for this post......you are wonderful to do this and are speaking for many.

As for me, I have experienced healing, tears, anger, joy and tons of laughter in the shor time since being a member of this board. Most of all, I am learning that we can provide hope. There are so many people viewing our posts. It is amazing.

It is a frigging almanac of timelines and facts, experiences, events, good news and bad, happy moments and horrid ones and we have barely gotten started!

Love you guys!!!!!!!

Thanks for the ack Alan and everyone.

I was talking to Mick about stuff regarding running one of these things the other day. His advice has saved my sanity on more than one occasion btw. He said something to me that really stuck:

If we (ex Scientologists) cannot care about each other - who the hell will?

And he is right. It's not so much about who runs or owns the boards, but more about who contributes to them. XSO is 100% ex Scientologist and ESMB is probably 90%. I believe that Scientology attracted well meaning people who were looking for ways to improve themselves and help others. So it makes sense that when people find out the Scientology wasn't what they thought it was, and they leave, they'll still be the same decent people who are still willing to help others, even if they are recovering from the experience themselves.

I think most of us want to help each other and ourselves and that's why these boards work.

Yes!!!

I enjoy this this board immensely! And OCMB too.. I'm inelegible for ExSO (being a despicable ExGO), but hurrays for that too!

I think that these boards are a major pain in the arse for DM. Seeing that those ex'es and SP's are talking and figuring things out.

I wanna say thank you too.

A cool thing that does not get discussed too much openly here, because of annonymity issues, is the reconnection with friends.

I have had a LOT of reconnection through this board. I have spoken about my father. But there have been others too. Some from the early days of my childhood. It is really cool to find old friends and catch up.

I remember the day I was leaving the church, SP declare in hand, when I asked CJC about finding my dad (who is also declared), he told me "we discourage SPs banding together (paraphrase)". And so I thought I shouldnt, because SPs grouping could harm the only group that will salvage mankind. What a load of crap. Crap. Crap. Crap.

I am finding SPs and old anti Scn friends to be much nicer and caring than ANYONE I knew in the church.

Heart-felt thanks to Emma and Mick. You guys have done such a wonderful job with these boards.:bighug:

:modest: shucks y'all.

Thank you indeed for the kind words. But I did want to echo what Emma said - if XSO and ESMB are good places for us exes to hang out - it's because of all of us exes who are there.

It took me a fair amount of time to realize why I like both areas - bear with me a second - and it's because almost everyone who gets into Scientology, especially those who join staff, start missions, join the SO do so because they want to help people. Maybe we were stupid in thinking that Scientology was the place to do that but that doesn't change the heart behind the decision. And I like people who do things like that.

And now there are tons of us to talk to. Wow.

Agreed. And about the "nicer and caring" part, I was never in SO and not even in scn all that long, but I remember the people from my first real "wog" job once I'd left non-SO staff, and how amazed and impressed I was when a fellow worker offered me a ride home WITHOUT the standard scio phrase that went with such a request or offer:

what's the exchange?

Oh, I haven't heard that phrase in sooooooooooooo long, and it feels sooooooooo good to leave it in the past!

Yes!!! Mick and Emma. I have said this before on XSO and I will say it again: The most powerfull condition/level for any human who has inhabited this planet and others is the Condition of HELP. In spite of all the pressures that bear upon us day after day, there are many, many of us, Scn or not, who are motivated by the unkillable desire to HELP others. In my view, that is our mission every time we come back.

I feel this board to be like a family to me.

I thrust many of you guys and sometime I have to put my feet back on the ground by thinking: "Be suspicious! You've been deceived in the past, you can never tell what come next." "You never meet them, they may be here today and disappear the next day." "You can exchange ideas but you are not going to be part of their life or taking them into your life like in real friendships".

Of course, it's virtual. We may even show only our best here and be different in real life.

To complicate things the Church of Disconnection is watching us ready to force our friends and family members still under Church control away from us as soon as they find out our identity.

I feel affinity for many here and my affinity is not based on the reality we have on the subject but on the good communication. Everyone is different and unique but everyone is willing to share his ideas and willing to evaluate other's ideas, and willing to help. And there are Smilies that help a great deal in keeping the communication up tone, even with the worst sentences!

And many of you are so funny!

Sometime I think what we may accomplish if we get organized, set a purpose (Reconnection is a good one), distribute hats and Produce. A real group up to something instead of just talking.
But that "just talking" is already by far a very good and productive thing by itself, taking the charge off the lies of the Church naturally. A free talk is something a Scientologist in good standing (Alex being the exception) can't afford.

So, thanks to all of you guys, and thanks to Emma, "The Founder"
(Should we hang Emma's picture above our monitor and clap hands after every post of her? :omg:)

Yes! I was asked recently "what exactly do you talk about with these anti Scnists? Do you all discuss how dreadful Scn is? What is the PRODUCT?"

Um, how do you answer that? We talk about our experiences, current management, philosophy, music, videos, cats and goodness knows what else. And we LAUGH!

And what did I answer? "I feel better!" Gee, that didn't go down too well...

Laughing brings sunshine into any day, and I have laughed so much here. Here's to more of it - clink!

ps I love your siggy, that makes me laugh too. :happydance:

Thank you.

Sometime I think some thetans are similar to others (or to you). The liking of the same things, having the same thoughts. :pillowfight:

Others are just different, like of different brands. You grant them beigness but can't really get acquainted with them or understand what drives them. :confused2:
But many are fun nevertheless. :dance3:

So true. It goes beyond having a common background to talk about. I think it's to do with awareness.

It is just great to be here and lurk and look and understand and jump in, say something and lurk again and laugh, a lot of laughing and also a lot of relief due to understanding. ESMB and XSO are just very good places to find old and new friends, have a laugh and be able to find some answers to some past that was shared at different levels.

Definitely thanks to Mick and Emma we all have the possibility to exchange ideas and just be here and have a good time.

And thanks to many of you who's interesting, funny, educating and amazing posts have helped me put my past behing me and have an enjoyable present and future.
:happydance:

Great place to be.

What everybody else said:hifive: You have provided something special, and in so doing, taken the power DM and the cult had over us. Believe me, they are shitting themselves, and rightly so. Thanks.
