Juliet's Mom, Natalie Simms, has been one of the Church's top fundraisers for the IAS and SuperPower Building for the past twenty years.

Juliet's Dad, Jeff Simms, has earned his income by working with numerous WISE based companies since the mid 1980s.

Millions of dollars have flowed through Natalie & Jeff to the Church with them receiving huge commissions for their registration efforts.

Natalie & Jeff finance Juliet's career and have from the get go. They are intimately involved in all aspects of her career.

I believe the family has close connections to Beck, Juliette Lewis and the Ribisi family.

Natalie and Jeff's stated purpose for Juliet is for her to become a star and to use her fame to promote Scientology.

Good question. It knows the straight advertising doesn't work, it just gets laughed at as witnessed by the twitter frenzy noted over at the Village Voice when the recent campaign started up. There's insufficient Scilons to make much of a presence felt via the VMs feasting on the human tragedy of disasters. Infiltration into schools has all but stopped, especially after Bart Simpson's voice got stomped on. The dissemination tech might be getting a few souls in the door for an initial ruin finding but a quick internet check will put most off. Desperate cult is desperate.

I'd bet on organized effort.

I think that if all of us on the board were all in the same location that we could have our own reality show as well. :coolwink:

Really we don't need to even all be in one location. The producers can tour around the world so different members are on different weeks and then come back to the original site.

Brilliant idea, Type 4!

Can you imagine? Especially if they throw in some of the more colorful Anons and their actions...LOL!!! Lordy! What a funny show it would be!

Regarding the OP, I do see a pattern, and think they have followed it for a long time, of using celebrities (mostly minor ones) to fish for new clams and try and give legitimacy to the COS. Why else create a Celebrity Center, at great expense and trouble? I think they are following Ron's directives and policy in this, and that it is nothing new.

It's good for us to know who is a Scientologist and being supported by Scientology money.

Thank you for the OP. :)

If she is a Scientologist, she is third generation.

As for their connections and desire to see their daughter succeed, good for them!

As for their connections and desire to see their daughter succeed, good for them!

As for their desire to use their offspring as a mere propaganda tool to further promote the wicked scam of scientology on the airwaves and further fatten their bank books via regging the unsuspecting and desperate new cult members from the results - fuck them!

I doubt she has much of an agenda personally, I'd say the danger is more the cult puppeteers surrounding her. You know at the first hint of any celebrity or public notice the cult vultures were on her like white on rice. Love bombing x1000.

I did a minute of googling on her. Ill keep my opinions about any talent or orginality to myself. She's like a lot of wannabe girl pop stars - even down to I'm so edgy look at all my tats. ( in the Britney, avril, christinia, lady gaga, pink, etc...mold) but I did find it interesting in her rush to get indie cred via lots of ink/tattoos - not one of her awful tats ad anything to do with Scientology. Funny since quite a few reference philosophical themes and lots about her faux Indian hertitage.

Dox or STFU
No, it's the same as every other American I know that claims "Indian hertitage" (too many) but doesn't come from a reservation but was told some great-great-great grandparent was half Indian so they go around telling everyone thet are of Indian
Heritage. When most of the time it's nothing more than old family lore with no basis in fact or maybe there was a great-great-great-great grandmother who was half-Indian but using that to claim you are a Indian or of Indian hertitage is a joke. It's like me claiming I'm a blonde because I found 4 blonde hairs on my head, which just also happens to be covered with millions of brown hairs.

In fact, I'm in the same boat - it's verified my great-great grandfather married a full blooded Indian but you don't see me insulting real American Indians by claiming my "hertitage" so I can get tacky tattoos and hang dream-catchers from my rear view mirror.

She's a blue eyed, fair haired typical white California girl. She showcases as much american Indian traits as Britney Spears.

Please prove me wrong. Show me her claim is any different from the rest of the shameless, it's cool to claim to be of "American Indian" ancestry to make me unique and spiritual, bullshit that millions of other Americans partake in. Is her mother from a reservation? Does she receive stock from a native American casino due to her verified bloodlines? Did she learn any native languages from her grandmother?

This claim is made far too often, by too many, and rarely questioned and it's ridiculous. It's really demeaning to have privledged whites walking around making these hallow claims to give their white bread asses some "ethnic cred" when we have so many REAL native Americans struggling against all the odds in desperate poverty on reservations criminally underfunded and established by the govt.

I don't understand your rant. I know several people identify as native Americans, who honor their heritage, and it doesn't mean that they have to live on a reservation, receive payments from the tribe, or speak their native Indian tongue.
They still have Indian blood in them.

In fact, many Indians choose not to live on reservations for lack of education & career opportunities. And what about all the non-Indians who reside in Palm Springs, CA.? Most of the land comprising of Palm Springs is on the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation.

My best friend spent 3 years doing social work in the Dakotas on a really tragic example of an Indian reservation. I spent a few weeks there. Yes, if the people there have the chance or resources to leave - they gtfo. Most Americans have no clue at the struggles "real" native Americans face. I think the fadish, dream catchers in the window, t-shirts with wolves and Indian chiefs, weekend retreats for time in sweat lodge in-between massages and facials, fashion feathers, etc.. are demeaning cartoons of Indian cultures. It's all feel good pop-spirituality and culture packaged and sold as a commodity.

The majority of people "embracing" their heritage are merely buying this commodity, while the real Indians suffer in abject poverty while all their "white blood brothers" proclaiming their "native heritage" could give a flying fuck or have no clue. In fact, the places and people cashing in on the Indian fad crap despise the present day people and call them "reservation trash." They are only interested in their fantasy Indians of 100 years ago that don't cause any problems in their idealized western culture ideas about the romance of dead Indians. (Indians many of their own ancestors oppressed and killed.)

It's bullshit nostalgia for something that never existed - much like indies and the good old days of LRH. The Indians of 150 years ago suffered tremendously due to white culture - their lives were hard, brutal and filled with suffering. So it pisses me off when white people continue to fuck them over by cashing in on a romantic fantasy created by the offspring of their oppressors and either ignoring or shitting on the real live generations of today.

We both know white people would be a lot more comfortable if Indians shut up about the oppression and poverty, put on their pretty clothes, dance for tourists and give weekend lessons in faux Indian spirituality so whites can feel "connected" and proud of their "Indian heritage." There would be even more tattoos and dream catchers sold. (just today I saw dreamcatchers, made in china, being sold in a gas station.)

Is it a rant, sure? I just get very tired of the superficial embrace of a "heritage"sold as a commodity by white guys on Madison Ave. to other white people to make them feel "spiritual" or connected to an invented past.

Are all whites who claim heritage guilty of it? No, but most are. Ask most of these people about the living conditions on Indian reservations, they have no clue. At most they know Indians own casinos now and you can buy cheap cigarettes at reservations.

I just got off on a rant because it was implied some rich, privledged, wannabe pop star, on a show celebrating many of the worst examples of pop culture commercialism, who is a confirmed Scientologist and has a few crappy eagles and feathers tats, is an example of someone embracing their true, authentic Indian heritage.

Jermaine Paul Is 'The Voice,' But Juliet Simms Is The One To Watch
Team Cee Lo standout proved to be the most versatile contestant in the competition, which should make for a killer album.

We haven't had a flesh-and-blood female rock star in the vein of Fiona Apple or Alanis Morissette emerge since the '90s. We are sadly low on strong, truly unique and versatile female voices that can cross genres without sounding out of place. Simms can rock, she's got soul and, with Cee Lo's pushing, she even showcased a funky side.

Simms could go in just about any direction with her next record, and that's something to be excited about. Hopefully, despite coming in second place, "The Voice" will prove to be exactly the launching pad she needs to go on to bigger and better things.

Juliette didn't win, but it's a sure bet she'll be offered a contract with some studio, for being 1st runner up..

Susan Boyle didn't win "Britains Got Talent', but she was offered a recording contract anyway and has earned millions.

I stumbled upon this thread and it's quite humorous, I can't help but to comment. I've been a fan of Juliet's for 7 years and never once has there been any sign of Scientology in her life. Just because your parents do something doesn't mean you have to too. This post was made by someone who didn't even know how to spell her name... Also I'd like to say her parents have not funded her career. She left home and moved across the country to pursue it on her own. She was, as most bands starting out on their own, living in a tour bus trying to scrape by for years. She only recently got her break on The Voice. She has made her fame happen, not her parents... Her siblings are famous as well and theyre doing it on their own. It's offensive as a huge long-time fan to read someone say that her parents have some alternative reasoning behind her fame. She never has, is not, and probably never will promote Scientology. She's the last person that better be going all Tom Cruise on me...

It's OK, no problem. I know nothing about it other than what is on this thread and having watched her videos. I thought she was very good.

If her parents are true believers, and love their daughter, it makes total sense that they would want her to succeed artistically both for her own good and for the "greater good" of Scientology, as that's what true believers do (I used to be one).

Juliet has her own life to lead as she sees fit, and if she has junked Scientology then good for her.

Juliet is a die hard Scientologist from a die hard Scientology family. As to her career I'd say it's not exactly straight up and vertical. She'll be playing a tiny venue (The State Theatre) in St. Petersburg, FL later this month. It's a dump. Has a capacity of a couple hundred people, no seats. Anyone can rent it to do a gig who wishes to. Other than that she and her sister are busy selling jewelry.
