Does anyone know where Dorothy Broaded, Edie Hoyseth, Ann Rollins are? Ann Rollins was the Solo C/S at AOLA for a "hundred" years. Does anyone know if she is still at AO?

Dorothy was at ASHO. I thought she passed away, but I am not sure. I remembered seeing her around in the 90's. I don't remember if I saw her when I was at ASHO in 2003. Hmmm. I was posted there for a year but I was in the Ivory Tower. I think she was a letter reg or something. I saw her in the 90's for sure.
Edie was still around up to when I left in early 04.
Ann... could she have another last name? There is an Ann who is the Solo C/S at AO. I think it is the same person. Ann Woodruff I think is her name now. She was still there C/Sing Solo up to early 04 when I left.

Yeah, that's her. She married Dan Woodruff, ex-husband of Carol Woodruff. I think he's John Woodruff's brother.
Dan was a long time Sea Org member and auditor.

Was? Why do you say was?
Did something happen to him?
I know he went to the RPF. But he graduated and was back at CCI. I dont think he was back on tech lines. They were using him to recover celebs I think. He has some comm lines other members of the church did not have. He is able to walk up to certain doors and be let in. I cant say more than that.
What happened to him?

I didn't use "was" because something happened to him. I used it because that was what I knew the last time I knew him, which was years ago.
Your info is more recent than mine.

Thanks to all of you who replied with info. I think you are right about Dorothy dying. She was up there in years. I first knew her when I worked for the Seattle Org. She was working for the GO at that time. She then joined the SO and worked for the GO LA. I remember hearing something about her getting shot down, so maybe she started over again as a letter reg.
Edie and Dorothy left the SO in the early 80's I believe and went back to Seattle to try their hand at mission work. That failed miserably and they ended up rejoining the SO. Big mistake.:duh: Lorita Hill and Edie were close friends from Seattle. I thought Edie might have blown to Canada also. She is also Canadian. Unbelievable that she is still in. She was clear number 120 or something like that. I first met her at Saint Hill UK. She has been around a long, long time. Probably no way out for her - only option is to stick it out in SO until she passes. I ran into her at a TJ's in the early 90's. She looked very old and worn out then. She is now 70 yrs old. Her sister, Doris worked for GOLD and died in 1990, I believe, of brain cancer. Such a shame. I audited under Doris when she was CS of Seattle Org.
I also audited under Ann Rollins (Woodruff) at the AO. She was good CS, but after all these years, you would think she would finally wake up. She had it fairly easy, tho - don't ever remember her getting in trouble. She just hid away in the Ivory Tower and played it safe. She has an adorable little boy who looked just like her. Fortunately he was looked after outside by her Xhusband. The boy would be in his early 30's by now I should think!! Unbelievable how time flys.

I actually didn't know she had a son.
She had a daughter with Dan.

I left in 82 just before the Mission Holder's conference. She must have been in her early 30's or mid 30's then. When did she have a baby girl? She was Rollins into the 90's. I know 'cause I saw her name in an "Auditor". I remember Carol and Dan Woodruff. She had red hair didn't she and worked in Div 6 at AO? Funny how memories fade after 25 years.
What about Ray Mitoff - is he still Senior CS at AO? Probably not - nobody lasts that long on a single post, except for maybe Ann Rollins.:)

Giuseppe's mom has been a lesbian for years, and she is still in the SO. My sister was a lesbian once and she got declared.
Go figure...

OMG! Lorita Hill was my Div head!! She refused to wear her uniform and they would kick her out regularly, then ask her back weeks/months later. That was how she would get vacations and visit her family in Canada. She was a hoot! Is she out now? Is she on this board?

I remember Edie Hoyseth from the FEBC back in '71. Her sister Doris was there too. Where is she now? And my twin on the course was from Seattle - Laurie Deane I think her name was.

Remember she would wear only cowboy boots with her uniform and her hair was always styled to perfection and boy did she have a mouth!!! She could come up with the worst names for you if you crossed her.
I would love it if she is on this board as I never got to say good-bye. Edie was at ASHO when I left and yes it is sad, her sister stayed with us sometimes when she was ill. I remember she had left the iron or stove on and it was caught in time before she burned down the house.

Ray Mithoff -- that'd be a long story from 1982 to 2008... He has been (at least) IG Tech, Snr C/S Int and Tech Compiler RTRC since then. His last confirmed location was SP Room at Int as of last year.

Isla Pryde was Solo DofP when AOUK moved to SH in 1968. She still is, as far as I know, bless her heart.

Yep,
Isla was still there last time I was at St Hill.
As was Roz de Lacy and a few others.
Paul, remember Dave Skull? He was addresso I/C or similar. He started in the late 60s and is still doing the same post as far as I know. Dave had some interesting stories about the 'old' days. Certainly made standing in a freezing cold car park at 2am while doing 'nightwatch' more bearable.

Thanks for the update. I sent Isla a Christmas card last year. I don't dare put a return address on it as I won't be living at my current address for ever and I don't want to have mail sent here for eternity.
I was a Letter Reg for a few years in the mid-70s when Skullie was the Letter Reg Section Officer, and we used to hang out together sometimes. I had dinner with him and John Harvey when I visited EG from LA back in 2002, before I got declared. And gave Isla a hug. I bumped into Roz and she dug up Isla for me.
I'll try to refrain from making a joke about digging up John Harvey. :)

Yes, Lorita had a mount! She scared me to death when I first met her, but I grew to prefer her genuineness to the rest of the robots. :) I don't know Edie. (??)

Doris Hoyseth, Edie's sister was still in the Sea Org when she died of Brain Cancer. I last saw Edie Hoyseth in the early 90's in Trader Joe's. She was still in the SO. Lorita Hill I heard blew the SO in the early 90's and moved back to Canada where she was from. I knew all these people and Dorothy Broaded when I worked in the Seattle Org.

That's interesting - I shared a room with Edie Hoyseth in the early 80's at PAC. The woman gave me the creeps. I remember wondering if she was a lesbian back then, but I never had any evidence of such - just the gut feeling I got when observing the way she acted around another woman - a heavyset dyke-y looking woman who I think was named Doris. What I recall of Edie was that she once "handled" a new recruit who had joined up - I forget his name, I thought he was a cool guy - but he didn't stick around long. He was "properly labeled" and dismissed with the usual hard-line SO attitude about people who "came and found it bad" and must therefore be garbage. Well, life in the SO then was pretty bad. Edie struck me as a cold, up-tight bitch. Sort of like Debbie Mace. Anyone remember her or know what happened to her?

Yeah, Edie wasn't the nicest person to be around. But she did have her moments of being a nice person as well. Her sister's name was Doris and was very skinny. You were probley thinking of Lorita- she was about Med built. I dont really know what became of them. Really more interested in Lorita as she was a great gal.

Lorita Hill was an OT VII who audited Gabe Acs also known as Gabor S. Acs in the Seattle Org between 1974 and 1977. She was a full OT VII and class VIII auditor. She joined the Sea Org and later left there but has not been heard from by him since. Gabe is researching and writing a story about OT's and has been involved in forming the Church of Infinitology, a non denominational church without incorporation and international ties.
Edith Hoyseth was Gabe Acs's Case Supervisor between 1974 and 1977 and also joined the Sea Org. She was a Class VIII Auditor and OT VII.
Here is a prelude to the story about OT's being written. Gabe Acs is providing quotes for the research project.
