Robert Bein was the ED of the Chicago Org in the
90's. He was very well liked.

Per his comp lists on Kristi's site, he was an OT 8 and the
restarted his Solo Not's in 2004.

Dear Friends,
Geoffrey Fushi
It is with great sadness that I inform you that Robert Bein, our dear
friend and partner for over thirty years, passed away at home surrounded
by his beloved family on February 24th. Robert touched so many lives. He
was devoted to his family, dedicated to his religion, the most loyal of
friends, and a steadfast and wise partner.

"He had melanoma that was caught too late."

How sad. I do not know him personally, but he will still be in my thoughts.

Melanoma is a slow moving cancer of the skin, which moves into the organs as it grows. Because it is non-aggressive, it does not respond well to chemo. If caught too late, there is little that can be done to fix it.

Aggressive cancers are easier to control than the slow ones.

I have a history of melanoma in my family and I have to get checked regularly to make sure nothing has grown.

I dont mean this harshly, but this is another OT passing from cancer.
