Hey everyone.
I am an "in-the-closet" ex and/or anti-Scientologist. I still have a ton of family members in so I cannot out myself yet.
I was in the Sea Org in the HGB in LA from '93-'97. I knew a whole lot of people in the building due to the posts that I held. I was a teenager at the time.
If you were in during that time, maybe I know you. Maybe I was even a friend to you. If you think there is a chance you know me, let me know!
Sorry to be so vague but I cannot be too careful!

Chaotic,
Just so you know, you don't have to worry too much.
"They" are really really really busy.
You could probably stand in the middle of Times Square naked screaming your name and they wouldn't have the resources to attack you.
Considering everything that's going on. :)

Hi CP, and welcome here. I hope you enjoy staying around. It's a great place.
I was in ITO for training and later posted in FB in '94/'95 after I got my sorry ass kicked from CMO, so I'm almost sure we met there. I am also vague for the very same reasons you are, but please feel free to PM me and we can discuss the matter.
I hope to hear from you soon.

FMD! (sorry for the nonstandard abbreviation, not in the Urban Dictionary, but close to def #4)
If that is really the connection, here's some more family drama, just when you thought you had enough:
Alex had to divorce his wife to qualify for Int. After that valiant deed for the greatest good, he is now in the Int Training Pool at Flag, where he'll be until the CoS caves in.
But: Not only that, Alex was the RPF I/C while Carol Cisco was on the RPF's RPF routing out.
(What a f****d-up life. Sorry to say, it ain't gonna get any better the higher you go, Alex.)

Wow, you've done a Man's Job there, Sir.
I'm amazed how many of my old shipmates
stayed in so long after I left.
I was PO3 Colin D Guy (MSM for a few hours till the promotion was cancelled by an opponent) at AOSHUK from 1972-81, hung around EG as a Freeloader till declared in October 82 for shagging Pam Flood (repeatedly....oh, happy days, more case gain in five hours than my whole time in the SO!)
Anyway, Paul, real nice to bump into you again. You were a lovely bloke back then. Now I look at it, these long Friday nights chainsmoking and playing GO were a wonderful escape from 'reality' for me.
There really wasn't enough laughter in Scientology (except when you felt compelled to laugh in the courseroom if you were listening to an LRH tape on headphones.....or dredging up dirty jokes when the RPF got stuck on a freezing broken down bus between Saint Hill and Stonelands).
One of my hypotheses is that Scientology and the Sea Org got a lot of mileage out of confused intelligent acid casualties! Like you, me and Bob Gilchrist...and Ira Chaleff, Floody and my brother Alistair, just for starters. I think we were all zonked into a Star Wars trip, fuelled by unofficial rumours from OT staffmates that we were going 'back' into Outer Space.
I remember Lyn Collins loudly whispering as we all drank our milkless tea round the Aga at mid-rats "I found out in session today I used to be a Starfleet Commander"..... lol :-)
I hope GO 40 tallies first time today! lol

Pam was Floody's first wife. They got split up and the marriage soured when one of them went to Flag for extensive training--think it was David, but I'm not sure.
Pauline was earlier Pauline Shantz, married to the CO SH Fdn, Peter Shantz. I don't know her name prior to that.

Yes. I believe she began as Pamela Walker in her native Leeds, She helped start the Leeds Franchise (Mission) with her first husband Howard Thomson and a bunch of friends including Peter Thompson and Vic Lyons. The marriage to Dave Flood lasted only weeks - she baulked at the idea of living in Sea Org quarters.
My guess is that David chose a new Mrs Flood, first name Pauline?

Pam (Flood/Thompson) moved back to Yorkshire and married John Harris. Very sorry to say she died on Christmas Day from a brain tumour. Howard died not long after.
Pauline (Flood/Shantz) was previously married to someone called Patrick (Religan?) I think Pauline and Peter had about four children between them.
Goodness, there's a lot of truth in that old tale about everyone in Saint Hill (and maybe East Grinstead) being "related by divorce"!

Welcome to the board CP! I wouldnt mind finding some old friends myself, was q volunteer staff at AOLA in 1968, when it first opened, wild and wooly. OT3 had just came out and, as CO Ira Chaleff told me, lots of fish and fumble on the ship.
Bob Harvey was OTL Liasaon, Reggie Farnum was head of Qual -- even Alan Walters was still on board at that time, giving "success stories." O My!!!
Next came Capt Bill Robertson -- I am sure a few of you remember him!!!

Chances are, there would be others on the board who know you, and others like me, who'd like to welcome you - so maybe it'd be a good idea to introduce yourself under "New Member Introductions", to let people know you are here. :)
