View Full Version : I'm Concerned

I'm concerned. I think Stan Doyle is in trouble. He's a Sea Org member about 75 years old who's been coming to me for haircuts for 15 years. He's never done anything hurtful to me. His vibe was always true.

He'd come in about once a month, like clockwork. He called for an appointment late last week and said the only time he could come in was Sunday morning. And then he didn't show up.

At first I thought someone had put him up to it, to try to keep me from going to the protest, which was right around the corner from my shop. But when I checked my messages later, he had called to let me know he couldn't get out of the building "for security reasons."

This might have been mainly because of the protest, but I also think they've probably got him under 24-hour watch, because of his recent and regular contact with me (I'm an undeclared SP), and he can't go anywhere without an attendant.

I don't know very much else about him, except that he used to be in the Merchant Marines and has family in Sacramento.

If he got put on the RPF (or Introspection Rundown), I believe he might die there. I also believe we can avoid yet another needless tragedy.

Just call 323-953-3340 and ask to speak to Stan Doyle (*67 will mask your number). They'll ask you who's calling. Pick a name, any name. To avoid a PR flap, they'll have to let him come to the phone. So people who'd recognize his voice (or even if you wouldn't), please call.

Call early and often.

Lynn

I'm glad you started a thread on this!

I'm guessing they wouldn't let him out of the building due to the protest. If he has an attendant with him when he comes, no one would be concerned about him seeing you. It's not like you're going to say something or do something while he's being "babysat" or assisted due to his age.

I would almost beat the orgs were all in fear on Sunday. Not knowing what anonymous might do. I beat they were all surprised that it was a completely civil protest.

The 3 guys (protesters) that I talked to were very nice. Couldn't tell if they were Ex-churchies or not, but got the idea that they weren't.

The point is for people to call, so they'll have to stop whatever they're doing to him so he can come to the phone. 323.953.3340.

I'd be afraid that if this guy doesn't normally get calls, that getting a bunch of calls would put the staff on alert and something worse could happen. A reg getting 100 calls a day is normal. A guy doing filing all day is not normal.

What's Stan Doyle's post? Is it normal for him to get phone calls?

If the same person were to call every few days, until they reached Stan, that would not set off any alarms. But I would guess after the protests that staff is all a bit jumpy.

If you want I can try to get Anonymous to call en mass, but there's going to be no controlling what the callers say.

I believe they just didn't want him exposed to the protest.
It is nice how do you care for your customers!

I believe Stan was in OSA at PAC as of 2004. I don't recall his exact post but seem to think it was administrative of some sort.

Yes. Something to do with Legal. Then recently was put onto the CF Project. I could always reach him by phone, even on the CF Project. But the last time I called, instead of the friendly girl from the CF Project, they patched it through to some woman who sounded anything but friendly. Sounded like I might have interrupted her in the middle of a gang-bang sec check or something.

So yes. Call, call, call. And keep calling.

And keep telling what happened when you called. Shine the light of day on their attempted abuses.

I'm sure you'll keep worrying Lynn, but, I suspect the most likely scnenario is he's not being allowed to talk to you, and, that he's probably in no worse shape than he was before. (75 isn't exactly a spring chicken :))

Hopefully they'll let him talk to you, but, I can't imagine why they would, except possibly to stop people calling. The LAPD probably gest so many 'check welfare' calls on the 'complex' that it's on the ultra-low priority.

Yeah, I know. I don't expect much from them. That's why I expressed it here instead.

All the more reason for concern. Older folks aren't as strong and resilient as younger ones. And I believe he has some sort of medical condition.

I would hope that alarms will already have been set off by the fact that I posted my concern here and sent a copy to an LA Times writer. Has anybody spoken to him lately?
