This was a response I made to someone's thread. Thought it was good enough for a thread of it's own and it's own comments.

Maybe someone wants to create:

'Parishoner's Commission on Human Respect. Founded in 2008 because former members were coming to it complaining their lives had been ruined or damaged by management treatment. Church bodies with the responsibility to regulate the excesses of executives and staff were not doing their job and appeared to be more interested in obscuring the phenomenon rather than bring about proper scrutiny. Consequently such parishoners found they had no voice.

'Moreover due to their "standing" and because of "ethics and justice" they were stigmatised and marginalised by those who had been charged with helping them in the first place. PCHR was then formed both to investigate the complaints and bring about reform of the religious arena.

'Investigation of parishoner complaints led to a realisation of widespread abuses both on an individual basis and more broadly within the church. PCHR investigations uncovered inhumane management and altered technical practices across a number of continents.'

I like. :)

How's that for a deep, insightful comment? :wink2:
