View Full Version : WHO'S WHO NOW?!?!

Bea Kiddo

Hey everyone. I am embarrassed. I have a big withhold. I am scared to say, because maybe someone will get mad. Or offended. Or something....

I am lost on who is who around here and who's story is who's. To me, we have a buncha cute youngsters coming out and telling their story. Am I right?

Some were uplines, some X-CMO, some twins, etc, etc.

As a C/S, I hardly ever could remember anyones name. Even at work I hire a new person and it takes a month to get the name right. I SUCK at names. And remembering who introduced themselves to me, very tough.

Its easier if I knew them personally. Not so hard for me to remember them.

But here online, sometimes it is tough for me to remember everyone. And who told their stories, and who hasnt.

Hope that is ok.

Am I alone in my ignorance? :nervous:

Can I be forgiven?

Can we have a party and all meet and then it will be easier!???:D

Bea,

Don't worry about it. You won't be quizzed. At least I hope not. LOL!!! I will flunk the quiz.

There are lots of stories and without faces to go with all the "significance" of the stories, it can get lost.

If I talk to two people on the phone in one day, I'll forget who I said what to, or what they said to me. And these are people I KNOW, in person, and have known many years.

Refer to my Memory post. I think we just forget things.:wink2:

You are so not alone. I have almost no idea who is who (or is it "whom", I know someone likes good grammer, but I don't recall who). And now there are a whole new bunch of avatars; more confusion! Don't get me started on gender neutral names. So no, you are not alone.

Ahh, who remembers everyone?? lol

I know some people because I knew them before (bea included). But sometimes I forget who's who.

I pretty much make sure I remember these (other than people I only PM)
Emma - Da Boss, Da big Honch, DM of the ESMB, RTC for our corner of the world :p (but much nicer, more the way those idiots SHOULD be)
Alanzo - Helpful guy who reached his EP on the boards
Terrill - big FZ guy
Mark Baker - Same
Bea - Mentor to the recovering Scientologist
Zinj - Annoying dude who is particularly funny ;)
Grundy - idiot who has to talk his mouth off ....

Well, that's why I make my signature so repetitive.

I was Class V org staffer in Treasury, assigned to work with SO mission to get records in order for audit by IRS, 1990, and briefly a Course Admin, all at the Boston Day org. Staff Status II, Exec Status I, untrained other than modern HQS and Ethics Specialist Course.

Are you offering to have a party out there in the cornfields of the US?

Might be a logistical nightmare. Do you think it wise we offer OSA an easy time to "tag" us all?

But I will say this....if/when the DeMented dwarf goes down, there will be cause for a huge ESMB blowout.....

All ethics actions cancelled, etc....

We can even spike the punch so no one is "SO eligible"....:)

Don't sell yourself short, Mark. You have an encyclopaedic knowledge of a broad number of fields, and are an excellent debater. You say you're not a techie, but that's hard to believe, given some of the threads I've seen you contribute to. I don't know if you're an active auditor, but I don't think that means you don't know your chops.

BB/Terrill has long-standing clout in my book, and does a lot of very good work.

But don't sell yerself short.

BB/Terrill has long-standing clout in my book, and does a lot of very good work.

Terrill has done a great deal of good in helping to establish the freezone & promote communication among freezoners and non-freezoners. He has been a key contributor in many important developments within freezone scientology. He is widely respected as a result of his efforts.

But don't sell yerself short.

Thank you for the praise.

I have a number of skills & achievements for which I am sometimes proud to the point of arrogance, but I make no claims to special knowledge as a tech person.

My time spent in scientology was at a place & time where the fundamentals of scientology were actually applied. When that changed, I left; I never had occasion to be confused by GoAT or other Miscavige "otherisms", although I freely admit to the influence of numerous other "otherisms" upon my thoughts. I have a fairly solid understanding of scientology basics and some knowledge of more "esoteric" aspects of scientology.

However, I am definitely NOT a techie and would not insult those who, having done the work, actually ARE techies by claiming for myself those special skills & knowledge which I lack.

I admire greatly ANYONE who has persisted to the point of becoming a professionally trained auditor, whether or not I agree with every viewpoint they may express. However you look at it, it is a significant accomplishment.

I'm the old self-promoting not cute one who they woke up after a long sleep with the story that is no where near as compelling as yours who can do little more than give moral support to people just getting out and spark yelling matches with free zoners.

I am always up for a party I hope this helps and thank you very much. :)

Ok so it's just another repackaging of the 'tech'. I thought it was a new process or rundown. Same old, same old. they seemed to do that over the years. Thanks , Zinj

Nope, it's not just a repackaging, it's a change of emphasis in training. Lots more drills, lots more times through the drills. This is why new GAT auditors are frequently considered more robotic by old-timers, at least that's a bias I've detected. The idea is to make sure the auditors are rock solid in their certainty. It also gives a new reason to make old-time auditors pay more money to get their GAT certs.

Why don't you just say I, instead of always using your name? Is it a English as second language grammar thing?

I have been out and out with it for 6 months now and I have to say that I really don't fear the Suppressive Group called the Church of Scientology.

This board has been helping to free me from those considerations that held me in the shadows.

Today I told a collegue at work that I was going to protest the C of S and why. I said it with pride.

I realized that I have been cowering. I had always been afraid to admit to people on the outside that I had been involved with a cult. But it did not bother me in the least. I think I have transcended yet another step in my recovery. :sing: :sing: :sing: :giggle:

Bea, I also think that it is incredible that all of these new friends are with us. It is taking time to get used to everyone, but like you I am feeling lots of warm fuzzies!

Lol, you like my Spock Avatar? I can put my pic back up, but frankly, I photograph badly: I always look either overly intense or angry. It's the eyebrows, I think. You might have met me at CLO EUS, I was there for about three months in 1989, working on a mission for the SO (as a donated Class V staff member, I wasn't SO) to get tax records in order. This was the sixth floor of the New York org at 46th street, I think, but I took my meals at CLO, which was a few blocks up, and did my training there, as well.

I am glad you got the joke there......I thought your joke about Bob Dole was pretty funny and was giving a come back of my own.

In truth you do look familiar. A bit later than my time however. I was in the SO from 1974 until 1984. The last 4 years were in FOLO Latam being the CO and the Crasher of Continents...as my title states. (:whistling:) actually my story is posted on a few earlier threads from back in October/November.

I did go to Clearwater, but after your time there. I went there while declared. I went down to check it out. It was an act of rebellion. I went in with my wife and children, and we swam in the pool, hung out in the hot tub, and then I went up to the Ethics area (I think it was fourth floor, but I could be wrong) of the Ft. Harrison, and tried to apply for the Amnesty (this was 1993). They informed me that people who were declared didn't qualify for the Amnesty. So, I left, and went over to check out the Sandcastle, and then loaded up the car, and we went home. That was my only experience of FLAG. Nice pool. Nice tub. Bad security. No, I was never in WUS.

It has taken time to get to this John. I had good reason to fear....but I think that those days are over. Largely because of Message Boards like this one. We are no longer alone with this problem. We have each other.

I have gained tremendously by reading the stories of others and sharing my own. The reign of terror over my life is over. When I posted "My Own Declarations" I think that I offloaded a ton of charge.

:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: Good story!

You reminded me of the time I was hanging out at Flag on a CMO mission and I ended up with a room (alone) at the Sandcastle for several weeks while the mission was on hold. It was like a big vacation hanging out by the pool and all doing virtually nothing. For an SO member accustomed to 23/7 work weeks and living in cramped dorm rooms with bed bugs, it was frigging terrific!

I felt so guilty hanging out there like a VIP.........well perhaps I did not feel all that guilty. :whistling:

Finally someone needed me for another mission and the moment ended. Alas.

I worked on the reno's of Freewinds before the maiden voyage. This was before I joined the Sea Org. They did my laundry, and I ate in their restaurant as they were working on trying to achieve some sort of rating. (the food was excellent) I got every Sat off and went snorkeling, gambling, drinking, basically having a great time for a 23 year old. Plus they paid me great money at the time for this...I repeated this on the HGB in LA...and then at St Hill before joining the SO. Stupid me...but it wasn't me I swear...it was the kool-aid.

I'm so glad to be out and reading this and other websites keep reminding me. My father told me about LRH's saying about a million bucks before getting involved and I still did it. Thank God, I had a family who gave me grace and took me in after 9 years of bs.

I'm just low man on the totem pole-ex-public. I was raised in the church (both parents and siblings still in). Some family was on staff and some still are! Although I haven't lived it first hand I am familar with the demands of SO and staff. I have kids in my family that were sent to SO in the middle of a ____ (fill in the blank) nite. I think about them every day and wonder if they are ok.
