It started at 11, but I didn't get there until almost noon, so I can't relay anything about the start of it. When I arrived, about an hour into it, they were walking from the church to Broadway, which is a major thoroughfare a block away. The tone was real upbeat with lots of chatter and laughter. We protested on Broadway for about an hour, read the speech (by which point we were scattered across three corners of he intersection, and my corner couldn't hear very well, despite the use of a megaphone), and returned to the church for another hour's worth of protest and a bit of singing (rickroll, happy birthday).
The Scientologists chuckled at the rick roll and also laughed at the Ecto Cruiser, a Subaru Outback decked out to resemble the squad car from Ghostbusters. They seemed almost in a good mood themselves, but we refrained form interaction with them, and they did not bullbait us. They filmed us constantly and from every angle they could, but that was it. The Ecto Cruiser got pulled over by the otherwise bored-to-tears police presence when it turned its stereo up too loud playing "Party hard," but only a verbal warning was issued. That too, was good for some lulz.
The protest was well-received by the public, and the protesters all had fun and delicious cake.
