There is something shorter but GButton doesn't like to talk about it.

It's much longer in cyberspace.

I trust Boris. His son Rob has been an anon for years and that's how Boris got involved. And yes, I did verify it.

He has given us a lot of good advice. I think he is having a lot of fun with all this. Someone he worked with was a $cilon and Boris didn't think too highly of him.

Anyway, it is good to verify everything! Like my granddad used to say: Trust everyone, but brand your cattle.

In my experience, people who claim 'ex-CIA' or 'ex-NSA' or Ex KGB connections go immediately to the bottom of the barrel.

Not that there aren't any, or that their insights aren't potentially valuable, but, the *real* ones don't try to garner 'authority' based on the claims. They tend to reluctantly admit it, after you already recognize their insights.

Anyway; any central american dive will have CIA/DEA/KGB operatives with badges even; not to mention the usual run of undercover policemen and 2nd cousins of superstars.

I do have some cousins that are totally nuts but hey, you can't have everything!:D

Zinj, Yeah, I have met a few so-called ex-FBI or CIA when I was a bartender. LOL They were such a joke. And I didn't work in a dive! :)

But I believe Boris. He has nothing to gain from this except some lulz and trying to help Rob. I think he really does just want to help.:)

p.s. Yayy I multi-quoted! Thank you, Paul!!

Well, I know a guy who was a scientist on the 60s atomic space drive tests at Area 51 :) And, at least a couple of real (ex) NSA people who are operating SPs :)

Not to mention the brother-in-law who was running under a faked identity thanks to the CIA till he got caught. :(

There are 'real' people and real situations. I have to admit, I tend to be very doubtful about people who bolster their opinions with claims to 'inside' dope.

Which is at least one reason I don't flaunt my Marcabian connections :)

Well, now that you mention it I haven't wanted to brag about my ties with the Mob. MY brother-in-law helped me get made. :coolwink:

One of my jr. high school math teacher's was a laid off physicist from Cape Kennedy or Canaveral or whatever. He was a dickhead.

probably some truth Zinj but with the perception of what the CIA
and the KGB are/were there is already that idea that the CIA or KGB
are bottom of the barrel anyway.

Some people I have talked to saw the KGB useful or at least fun to hang out
with at best. Some KGB had connections in the soviet system and a good amount of operatives simply disappeared after the collapse of the soviet union.

Unless you could verify with say a photograph or some form of verifiable
documentation that you were working with the CIA or KGB, your story
isn't taken too seriously.Least with alot of eastern europeans or Russians.
Or at best you're viewed with cynicism.

Somebody like Boris? Well actually he sounds believe it or not plausible
in what he says.He probably could verify who he is if he hasn't produced
evidence or he is protecting colleagues.

At any rate, what he is doing to help Scientology critics and protestors
with his insight, experience and knowlege is helping young people
organize and get their message and goals accomplished. The world
doesn't need CO$ anymore than it needed gulags,KGB or soviet communism.
If he can help people in former soviet republics and educate them on
Scientology ,even better.

The reluctance to admit is often based on crediblility or willingness to divulge
information that might harm someone else potentially.

I can tell anyone who I am and what I know(even if it is not that much)
and people will still not beleive me and think I'm full of shit.

It's part of human nature ,more or less.
