Clearcat I had a similar problem a few months ago and was advised to use FireFox as a browser instead of Internet Explorer. You could try that, I hope it works, it's difficult to write without smileys, I don't know where I'd be without them! :omg: Now, I'm off to watch this link of yours.

Thanks Pixie, and also for the suggestion re. Firefox, but I am using a Mac, therefore some things are a bit different. I hope it goes away and I can use them again.
Plus, I really hope DM will sweep the roads pretty soon... ;-)

Absolutely. In this universe, you get back what you put out there, so I think it is only a matter of time until life really gets back at him. Can't go on like that forever!!!

I totally agree, what goes around comes around and in my experience, the longer it 'goes around' the harder it hits when it 'comes around'. And no, it can't go on forever, life just isn't like that, it's building and building and I feel it'll happen in one fell swoop towards the end. Now, it's just a waiting game, and thanks to the Anons and the activists and all the others who are doing such a fantastic job in getting this dangerous cult exposed and getting justice done.

Hey Clearcat! I am using a Mac too- as long as you are using OS X you can download and use Firefox. I am using it now. There are many things that don't render properly in Safari and the smilies are on that list.
Make sure you have the latest updates, download, and install.

Clearcat, I'm gettin old! Like the music, but have a hell of a time deciphering the lyrics!:duh::grouch: Prolly a big doobie would help here, but gave that shit up long ago!:bigcry:
Pixie's post is patently pertinent as she perfectly posts points presciently!:coolwink: My love for "herself" and all good beings who post here is infinite!:omg:
Data point for you: Malcolm X was, arguably, the best orator of the 20th century (makes elron a shabby wannabee) - check out some of his speeches sometime when you get a chance; they are around and available. Anyway, he said, roughly, the following (in a context I do not neccessarily agree with):
"Chickens always come home to roost!"
Well, Pixie's saying pretty much that too - and DM had oughta be listening for the sound of cackling and flapping - cause they are on their way to the coop!:D

Hey EP - Age is never an issue, you are as old or as young as you feel.. that's my philosophy in life...
Agree with Malcom X, and yes, Lron can only hide behind great people like that! Because they confronted and took whatever it took, and did not hide behind anything.
DM better listens, history has shown again and again, that castles are built upon pillars of sand, pillars of sand.... so is his ;-)

Lemme see...
"I used to rule the world, seas would rise when I gave the word...
Now in the morning I sweep alone, sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice, feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen when the crowd would sing "Now the old king is dead - long live the king'
One minute I held the key, next the walls would close me
I discovered that my castles stand upon pillars of sand, pillars of sand"
I hear Jerusalem Bells are ringing, Roman Cavalry choirs are singing, be my mirror my sword my shield, my missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain, but there was never an honest word, but that was when I ruled the world...
That's all I can recall for now, hope it explains what I mean...

Clearcat, I'm with you on the Mac thing. I gave up on Windows when Vista came out and I haven't regretted the choice. Hubby is planning to get a Mac when his computer needs to be replaced as well.

Sounds like him anyway. Remember when he first came on the radar around 1959 - one guy had an album with his picture on it and we all agreed that he had the countenance of an over-ripe mushmelon and sounded rotten as well. We listened to his shit; smoked, drank, puked, passed out...you know how much fun it usta be! Agreed he'd never amount to diddley-squat.
Joan Baez called him a little "scuzz-ball" after going on stage with him somewhere. Love Joanie, still. The "scuzz-ball" did grow up to be something, I guess - and he looks better now, IMHO.
WTF did I write all this....Well, beats me.:confused2:
Love you Byte, dear!

He will be better off with one, that is for sure. Just have a sneak peak on the new flat Mac Book, awesome stuff. No hassles with all that stuff that a PC will offer... Plus, they are so much more creative anyway...

in addition there are only about 9 known viruses affecting Macs. This compares with over fifty thousand (and counting) affecting Windows

Can I put in a word for Linux? I'm using Puppy Linux atm and there isn't a lot I miss about Windows except that I haven't yet managed to get the chat software to work.

Absolutely, Cat's! For people who want an alternative to Windows, Puppy is a good choice. I also like PCLinuxOS for people who are a bit less technically inclined. Using a Live version of either of these is quite painless and PCLOS looks and feels very XP like.
I recommend that people looking at Windows alternatives consider trying live versions of several distros. When you find the one you want, install away!
