Hello Everyone,
Thanks Emma for allowing me to join up here. I post at OCMB and Enturb as Daisy (real name Martha Greene) and have been posting since March, 2005. I was in the scientology cult for 29 years. Started off at Stevens Creek Org when it was still a Mission at the age of 19. Was there during the Primrose/Wimbush stuff. Did services at SFO and Flag and a bit at Mt View Org. Worked at Los Gatos Academy with Alethea and Jessica. In June of 2004, I woke up to the fact that something was terribly wrong while at Stevens Creek Org to do a service. I won't go into the details here but I drove from Stevens Creek that day to my home in Benicia, Ca and took to my bed. To say I was devastated is an understatement. My husband, Kevin dragged me out a bed. I figured he was going to "handle" me. Instead, I was shocked to find out that he had his own doubts for years (Kevin had also been in for 30 years) and was glad when I stated that "I was never going to go back to the f****** place again!" That was the beginning of our road out. Another long story for another time.
I join up with Anonymous monthly and protest in Mt View. The cult has photographed my family and I, followed us and I have received a C & D letter. All this does is make me more determined to do my part in informing people of the mind-**** that is scientology.
Looking forward to talking to others here.

Martha, I was at Steven's Creek between '80 and '82, public, then part time staff, then full time briefly in summer '82. Wonder if we ever met. I'm glad you got on the road out and are determined to help inform others. Welcome to this message board :happydance:

Welcome, Daisy! :flowers2: Glad that you and your husband got out. Do you still have any family in? I lost my then husband when I got out over 20 years ago, but he's been out himself for 17 years or so now, but no one else in our family was in. Tell us more of your story whenever you feel like it.

Welcome Daisy
Was that a part of the country in which Scientology flourished and crashed?
I am trying to find that policy, but for some reason my three LRH libraries have vanished.
Can you provide me with some of verbal data anyhow.:duh:
You know, like all the verbal tech given at the events...if it isn't written it isn't true...... is what I think is what has been happening there.
Have fun:happydance:

Hi Daisy,
Around 81-82, I was the person, who gave Clay his first post Co$ job. Kingsley lives over on your side of the bay these days. Rick and Sharon are still "in." I can't understand why Joey is still in, what with the way he was treated.
Going earlier, I got involved with Scientology in April of 1968. The Santa Clara center (that became Stevens CreeK) was on Cronin and McKinley, just off Stevens Creek. around 1973, in my living room in Willow Glen, I started what is now the Los Gatos org, now located off Saratoga Ave. in San Jose.
By 1976, I had been Clear for years and a bc grad, and I left. It had become too greedy.
If you'd like a nearby person to chat with, PM me.

Hi Daisy,
It's great to see you here!
I'm Bill. You know me from the MV protests. ESMB is a wonderful site and I hope you post here often. Although I lurk more than post, this is my favorite ex site.
It would be cool if Kevin and your other family members posted too. You all have compelling stories to tell about your experiences in the evil cult.

Welcome to ESMB!!
Thanks for the work you have and are doing.
I'd love to hear your story. In your own good time though.
I take it the healing is still going on?
Healing? No, that's not the word I use to describe my situation. Had the same fears, worries, paranoia, bad dreams etc that other exes might have. But I'll tell you, the recovery has been quite swift for me and I have to conclude it is because I face those demons every month thanks to Anonymous. Could never had done that without the fine men and women I protest with. We have a great group of ex's and anonymous in Mt View.
I'm Bill. You know me from the MV protests.
Hey Bill! Glad to see you are on this board too. Look forward to seeing you soon!
CarmeloOrchards, wow you were at Stevens Creek before me! I didn't arrive until the mission was located on Stevens Creek next to Meridian Quad. Love to chat about all those we know.
dchoiceisalwaysrs, yeah flourished, crashed and from what I've seen and heard still in the dumps. Nice big, shiny org now - not (ghosttown)
anonmom, still have family in (husband's family). Some stick to the disconnection policy, others communicating because they kind of have no choice at the moment (family crisis). My sister was the only family member on my side in but all it took was a phone call from us and she jumped ship. She was just waiting to hear confirmation on how she too felt.
TwinA, I remember reading your story. I actually think we may have run into each other. I do remember a young girl on a motorcycle. Was that you? Your story touched me. We know the same people. I think in your story you mentioned Scott Chambers. I do remember seeing Scott the last time I set foot in a scien org. Sitting in my car and watching him walk by, he looks older (duh), still thin and still working at stevens creek (like 30 years now!). Sad, truly sad since he was such a nice guy.

TwinA, I remember reading your story. I actually think we may have run into each other. I do remember a young girl on a motorcycle. Was that you?
Probably was me, I think I was the only girl with a motorcycle. I have found a picture of it here. 1968 Honda cb175-k. A cute little two cylinder/four stroke engine street bike that could handle a little dirt too.
http://www.motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/classic_bikes/honda-cb175-k3.jpg
It's nearly the exact same bike I had, but I had repainted it bright yellow with maroon trim. I don't like orange that much, unless it's on a Halloween pumpkin. It was kind of old and beat up when I bought it for 200.00 but I had cleaned it up and it ran fairly well. Wished I'd been able to keep it, it's considered "vintage" and "classic" now I believe.
Ah... the memories. The smell of gas, the first oval shaped tailpipe burn on my leg, that day I almost wiped out in the rain but miraculously didn't because I instinctively jumped up, stood up on my foot pegs and threw all my weight towards the wheels that were sliding out from under me..., getting up at 4 AM to practice driving it around my neighborhood before I had a license :whistling: ... oh and having a police officer pull over and give me advice on how to adjust the carburetor so the idle speed wasn't too high or too low  instead of asking if I had a permit :whistling:, and I must not forget -- the cheapest, white helmet I could find made me look like an astronaut head.
Yeh that was me on the motorcycle most likely.

Ah the good ole days :)
Looks a lot like my first bike, a '68 CL350 I got in a trade for a '59 Rambler I bought for $10 in 1969.

Course, the high pipes were iffy for legs.

I don't want to hijack Daisy's thread and talk about motorcycles... but I had to say that this is one cool bike Zinj. The CL motorcycles were designed by Honda to be able to handle dirt biking too, but mostly they were for racing --- I guess they were the precursor to the "enduro" bikes that came out years later. That's why the tail pipe is higher and the rear fender is higher.

Didn't someone at Stevens creek have a bike just like that (but black) parked outside of SNC org for like 5 years?
I think it was Joey Percival....the BSO....That crap was so covered in dust... :p

We used to have Kevin McGreen fly to our mission and audit for us all the time in the '90s.
What ever happened to him?
And what about Carol Kramer? Is she in or out?
(If you don't mind my asking...yes, I'm nosy like that.)(And I really liked Carol and Kevin...)

Like Wirestripper said, Kevin was a teacher at LG academy. It is quite possible it is the same guy. He was/is married to Claudia. Carol Kramer, now that name is familiar. sounds way back when.

Just asking...
