Ok Kids...it's Holiday time and we have another friend
who wants out of Narconon! :omg: :happydance:

Do we have *anyone* who can pick the person up in Michigan? Here is their message: :help2:

I'm off to bed, but please let me know if you can.

Thank you all. :thankyou: (And OSA? Don't even think about it: the police have been alerted)

This is a family member: freaked out, trying to help her loved one.

You can contact Pete Griffiths https://www.facebook.com/groups/325785144156523/ Until I wake up in the AM. (I just found out about this right before
going to bed.

Again...thanks from the family for even trying to help!

:flowers2:

Tory/Magoo

PS: So far via Facebook we've helped get 4 people successfully out.
Let's hope we can help this person, too.

OK Update: Things are sorting out nicely. :coolwink:

That's all I can say at this point.

Thanks for caring, for those who have. :thankyou:

Tory/Magoo

PS: As I said, OSA: the local police are on this, I don't care what you re told.
Consider yourself warned on this. Stop harming families. IF people want to go,
let them go.

He's AT THE AIRPORT!!

:woohoo: :bighug:

I know he still has a long way to go...
but this is one gigantic step for him out of the pile of shit called $cientology's
Narconon Non-Rehab camp.

Love to you all, :flowers2:

The individual fled the Portland, OR "facility" at 2827 SE 17th Ave, a private home owned by Jeff Shelton. Narconon is also listed at 6202 SE 85th Street, an old wooden home owned by Meredith Burke.

SPs 'r' US to the rescue!

The Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/325785144156523/ was able to rapidly come to the assistance of a concerned relative in a Narconon drama over the last couple of days.

The worried relation heard about the Facebook group and posted there that she was concerned about her brother who had telephoned her 'whispering and scared' as the Narconon lunatics had flown him the length of the US to another facility and were making bizarre threats.

I contacted a well-known queen of the video who posted details on her page. Within half an hour volunteers had come forward and a resuce team was assembled and a plan formed.

The very next day the person was rescued from Narconon and re-united with his sister.

Happy ending!

Many thanks to all those who participated and offered help of any kind.

I only wish we could have got to some of the other tragic victims in time.

It would be exceedingly helpful if anything related to Narconon (or Narconon-clones), when it comes up, could also be posted to Tipping Point, which operates hand-in-hand with Narconon Reviews.

Tipping Point is almost completely focused on Narconon, and one of our goals is to make all the information about Narconon that we can available in one place so people can get the information they need, particularly BEFORE they end up at a Narconon or send their loved one there. We have pretty good positioning in the search engines, so if they search before they sign a contract, there's a good chance they will find us. Unfortunately, there are only a few of us completely focused on Narconon and we need your help to keep up with all the clandestine activity generated by them.

It is often not as simple as just getting the person out, since a substance abuse problem likely still exists, and now the family is out the money they paid to Narconon, with refunds hard to get. There may be some helpful information for this family in the "For Former Clients" section at Narconon Reviews, if someone will please pass these links along to the family member:

I don't see where this "facility" is listed as active on the business registry, although I'm aware that that doesn't mean they aren't operating. It looks like it's inactive (Entity Status: INA) for both registration numbers, and 156659-12 was administratively dissolved 12-11-1986, and 362832-81 was administratively dissolved 11-05-1998. Can you clarify this for me, Smurf? If they are operating, they're operating without a drug rehab license.

Oh, look, 156659-12 had a Gary Smith as the president. I wonder if that's the same Gary Smith that is now president of Narconon Arrowhead?

Thanks, Tory. My response to you is here: http://forum.reachingforthetippingpoint.net/index.php/topic,12684.msg33138.html#msg33138

I'll repeat part of it over here in the hope that it's seen by those involved. Getting the police involved is very important, and from what I hear, they are no strangers to this type of call in Michigan.

I do hope you guys will be careful about retrieving people yourselves, though; it is fraught with peril. Some of these Narconons are getting desperate, and I wouldn't put it past some of them to lay a trap and embroil some well-meaning people in legal entanglements, not to mention physical danger. Per Wickstrom, of A Forever Recovery, Best Drug Rehab, and Tranquility Detox in Michigan, is a nasty piece of work, and I wouldn't put anything past him. So please be exceedingly cautious.

Thanks for helping. :blowkiss:

This is important from mefree on The Tipping Point:

When you have a few minutes, check out the resources tab on Narconon Reviews. http://narcononreviews.net/
The site is always a work in progress, but there's everything from information on how to write a complaint,
to researching rehabs and contacts for consumer and state agencies.

My best! :flowers2:
