  1. Re: How to Spot a Church of Scientology Office of Special Affairs (OSA) Spy

Not to derail too much, but what I hate on FB is when someone who clearly doesn't know anyone at all, is friending left and right. I've had men from Africa try to friend me. One was posing with a GUN...

Re: Is herbalife a sicko scam?

Yah. I've gone to Amway and Shaklee pitches. I really dislike MLM schemes.
  3. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

    Sigh.
  4. Re: Why do Scientologists feel the need to write up their 2D's needs?

    There's always a 1d/2d type deal...

Wanking! Where you get to have sex with your very best friend.
  6. Re: Why do Scientologists feel the need to write up their 2D's needs?

My ideal 2d is a humanoid carbon based life form, occasionally ambulatory, free from homicidal tendencies, understands English or the appropriate lingua franca. Preferably not prone to bouts of...
  7. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

It's sounding to me that, given the lies, abuses, cons, financial chicanery, etc, - that some people want to believe that any criticism of Hubbard or CofS or Scn are correct and equate to on another....

    Re: Personality tests

I've taken several. I'm an ex who was in a while. Husband and I thought they were accurate - at least in our situations.

There were things in the results that were almost spooky, like how did they...
  9. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

    "Gaslighting". Good heavens.

M has a good heart but that sort of comment is rough.
  10. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

One thing for sure, Scn sure impacts those who encounter it, no matter what the experience was.
  11. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

Everyone on this thread is an ex, and all had bad experiences.

I think we interpret what was behind them in different ways. And we're outspoken about it.

    Re: definitely an adventure

Doubt it. I did the same sort of thing when I first started post to newsgroups and msg boards, til I learned about formatting.

    Just sayin'.
  13. Re: Hubbard vindicated . . . hold on to your emeters!

    8 million?
  14. Re: Why do Scientologists feel the need to write up their 2D's needs?

Ah, but when one reads "personals" ads in general, they're often like that, at least to an extent.
  15. Re: Hubbard vindicated . . . hold on to your emeters!

There've been a number of people who thought plants reacted to external stimuli.

  17. Re: Coming Home to Christianity from Scientology

    Please don't go.
  18. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

You also asked how I was influenced by Scn, so I went ahead and wrote about it.
  19. Re: Ebner found Giovanni Ribisi's mom Patron award in dumpster

Someone was saying they changed it from 40k to 50k.
  20. Re: There is no definition of a mental disorder. It's bullshit, you just can't define

What's the title and author's name?
  21. Re: Why do Scientologists feel the need to write up their 2D's needs?

Oh, I may've figured it out. It's postulate setting, putting the ideal scene out there. Perhaps not unlike doing affirmations.
  22. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

I've told my story many times. In short, I was a cult member and believed and did things I would not and do not believe now, same as most (if not all) exes. It was a helluva ride and it was dreams...
  23. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

Delete...shoulda stayed with my original "kill file". Sorry, but best of luck in life to ya, anyway.
  24. Re: Scientology and Hypnotism ó Even some ex-members canít admit its central role

    M,

Several ppl have said they don't think it's hypnotic, not just me. This doesn't mean this opinion is correct, but it does mean I'm one of several.

I haven't made any of the statements or...
