Ya, Obama is a danger to the good health of the nation and its people . . . no wonder he wants an incomprehensible 2,000+ pages law to handle the problems he is creating

That is a good way of putting it, especially since his "health plan" is such a big items in the news.

The current situation reminds me a lot of a game or test of wills which resembles a boxing match.

On one side are the framers of the United States Constitution and in their corner are the system of "checks and balances" which they devised to preserve the Constitution and keep any would be dictator from running the country. The manager of this side of the game are the "people" of the USA

On the other side are President Obama and his cronies. They know that if they come out and state their true strategy they will lose the fight so they train using a phony agenda of popular cliches which mask their true aims. Their manager is not supposed to exist so he is not present in their corner during the battle.

At the beginning of Obama's term, every now then, a piece of the true Obama agenda would be blurted out to the public by Obama, V.P. Biden, Pelosi or Reid. As his confidence has grown, Obama is now blurting out more pieces of his true agenda and with more frequency.

His latest attacks against the Supreme Court illustrate how emboldened he has become. In his speeches he feigns confidence that his health care bill will pass the scrutiny of the U.S. Supreme Court and he cites the fact that several top attorneys and judges have already endorsed the plan.

When it becomes apparent that the issue may be ruled unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court, the top legal and judicial body of the land, instead of reacting to the fact that the top judicial body has ruled against him and that maybe his plan has parts in it which are unconstitutional, he instead makes personal attacks against the Supreme Court justices and accuses them of engaging in judicial activisim.

In this particular round of the Health Care Battle, on my score card I would give that round very heavily to the framers of the Constitution.

A few others left early of their own free will when they saw the writing on the wall, apparently, and were able to extricate themselves: such as Johnny McMasters, Carmelo, Purple Haze, Kathy and Ira Hirsch, Ron Shaffron. Anyone else?

Is there anyone of this magnitude still left inside the Church of Miscavology?

Is it possible to Power Change? And what's with the Conditions of Power and Power Change? I don't think, as was normal with him, Ron himself followed Scientology policy. He certainly didn't pick Miscavige as his successor; David did all that as his own. He played by a different rule book. All the forgeries, cheating, and lying. Is this all due to LRH not writing up his hat? Nobody would conceive of anybody forging Ron's name: when you play outside the box, apparently you can deceive the most powerful people in leadership. He got rid of Mary Sue. She was in leadership for 30 years. Pat Broker was kicked out...

Stay tuned for further conversations between me and Purple Haze in Sunny Southern California.

You really expect me to answer that question, Lakey?

Maybe he studied Rockefeller or Rothschild tech or took lessons from the Mafia or studied how Hitler did a takeover.....or maybe he's just a genius at how to get rid of people in his way?

While one can choose to continue to think with " Ethics conditions " it might be well to consider how extremely toxic they were to the whole of scn.

Prolly the " Ethics Conditions " are the main reason for the departure of the vast majority of people that have left - and will ultimately leave - scn.

Is it not silly to still use that malarky out here in the real world outside that cult ?

Purple Haze actually wrote that post while visiting at my house. We both looked at the Power Change formula. It does not make much sense. Purple says that Power originally came before before Power Change but in our 1972 reference book, Power Change is placed after Affluence and before Power. To me, how can one due a Power Change before they have reached Power. It seems to be out of order.

LRH gives as an example of Power Change a hypothetical case where a bank manager at a local branch gets promoted up to the Corporate level. He then makes a contradictory statement saying that for the promotion to occur, the local branch had to be doing pretty good and was probably in a condition of Normal. Next he says that the person in Power Change should do nothing different than his predecessor; i.e. Just step into his shoes and change nothing. This is basically the Normal formula being applied but in the first sentence of the write up, he states that Power Change is applied after Affluence and not Normal. There is something out of sequence here.

Getting back to LRH, I was always disappointed that he did not follow his own policy, write up all his hats and turn over all his posts. People counter that he did write up all his hats but that is not true. The Management volumes do have the duties of each hat spelled out quite thoroughly, but these are not at all written up as Hat Write Ups. A Hat Write Up has a specific write up for a specific post; i.e. Hat Write up for Treasury Sec of CCLA. It was to have Items A to J, written up including the flow lines into the post and the flow lines going out from the post. Nothing even remotely similar to this was ever done by him except perhaps what he wrote up for David Mayo for assuming the top Tech Hat.

    INACTIVE THREAD?

This thread seemed to be extremely inactive. You could count on the fingers of one hand how many ESMB members have read the the thread in the last 4 days. Even so, the thread is still being widely read by non members.

When I went to bed last night, the number of views was in the high 653,000's and when logging on this morning, the count was in the low 658,000's. There were about 4,500 views. That may be the biggest viewing we have ever had, 4,500 non members (lurkers) in one night! I don't know what is going on, does anyone have any ideas.

This is my favorite thread on this MB. I check it all the time.
Although the latest lull in the convo was getting long, I see it as a that: a lull in the conversation.

Those who post here tend to be the best, most interesting etc. (Though not all interesting posters on this board post here, many do.)

It would be a real loss if this thread were to fade into oblivion.

The OEC/FEBC was his hat write up. he said that he had solved the
historical problem of succession with that. [ FEBC?]

Nice theory but clearly it didn't work. Too many arbitraries IMO.

I agree with LRH re power.

I'm only able to access the newest ethics book on this, but seems as I remember.

" Power stat is a stat in a very high range; a brand new range in a normal trend."

So for example one is operating on lets say 5.4 times previous range. Any business would LOVE that. Few ever achieve it and its a mischievious J&D by me. Merely double is IMO good enough.

Then Formula for power change " Don't change anything".

Later : "when taking over a new post change nothing until you are thouroughly familiar with your new zone of power."

Then one can apply "normal" at a new higher level.

There are other steps best I recall from FEBC tapes. You have an exec like that give him assistents, aides, steak dinners whatever. Not really in the conditions formula.

But he's now the cont chief for WUS or McDonalds or whatever. And he is again subject to conditions, penalties etc. And can be [ at least in current COS and probably many past ones RPFed in an eye blink]

Don't think they do that in Microsoft, Apple, Toyota etc....,.,.

    Please excuse my cynicism. Lol!

However a saving grace is that women were treated equally, at least before DM.
