Default ESMB and google - an experiment

I noticed today that exscn.net has poor results when googling "Scientology". Carmel mentioned in chat that she would type out full word "Scientology" in her posts rather than use the abbreviation "Scn" or "CoS" or Fluffy's favourite "Scn'ist" and I think this might help.

So could we try this a week or so and see if it improves things?

Type Scientology you say? On the Ex Scientology board? I think I can perhaps be persuaded to type Scientology in it entirety this week.

    Default google rank

I used to hang out with a guy that was involved in the google startup and he tried to explain their "secret ranking system" to me. He said that the ranking had more to do with linkages or somesuch thing and other factors. I didn't quite get it or pay that much attention at the time, but I found the below on wiki---perhaps someone whose brain is functioning at a higher level than mine is at the moment can explain it to us.

While it is true that if you type in Scientology in full it will certainly help the ranking, it is more effective to type in scientology within a phrase that may be searched

ie if a person searches for "scientology ethics" and the phrase "scientology ethics" appears in this thread or on this board, then the result will be a higher ranking (except it must be in the public area of the board for it to be searched)

searching for "scientology" by itself is a hard one to rank high as there are just too many times it is used around the internet.

Where as searching for "scientology crimes or wrong doings" produces a different result as does "anzo sea org abortions" so the phrase is important.

Use phrases that could be commonly searched will yield better results if you include them in your posts.

There is an interesting article on the word scientology being searched

I heard that typing out the whole name L. Ron Hubbard or David Miscavige along with your elevator shoe or (*) jokes counts against OSA stats. They lose points for any derogatory comments about the mighty leaders but only if the actual names of the con men appear in full gory glory.

    Oh, BWWAAAAHHH!!!!

Does that mean I have to say David Miscavige instead of all those other wonderful nics like Li'l Nap, David Miscarriage, Davey the dwarf with tiny fists of fury, etc.

Oh well. While we are on the subject of mini dictators, oops, I mean David Miscarriage err, that is DAVID MISCAVIGE, fail leader of SCIENTOLOGY, where's Shelley?

Remember her, SHELLEY MISCAVIGE, your wife, she's MISSING.

    How's that?

So for tech dummies like me,

will those key terms be found when people google them,
if they are in a post in a thread?

OR in the title of a post inside a thread

OR in the title of the thread?
