    Default What helped me

Our whole family was always so wrapped up with being on post, on course, selling books, the whole good little cultie thing. Never any time for anything else, hobbies? Dilletantism! Relax after target one is attained!

Upon getting ready to leave the SO I thought of what I would do later on, one thing was to learn how to play the guitar. I am now teaching myself to play and I really enjoy it. Other things that helped, got a dog, bought a motorcycle (great lonely, winding roads around here), relaxed, talked to others about my experiences. I am also working on flourishing and prospering without the use of any f-ing conditions, admin scales, battleplans, or org board. I'll let you know how this ends up.

Please do. It actually is easy without all those additives, if your postulates are sticking. I bought a guitar recently myself. Long story, but I am having fun.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesnt that freedom feel so god-damned good!!!! We never knew what we were missing.

I havent used a piece ethics (or any) tech for years!!! So nice. And I am doing very well.

I even have time for hobbies, which right now seems to be wrecking on my mountain bike and healing, all the while complaining and enjoying the cuts and bruises.

My kids are both now addicted to mountain biking and rock climbing. I tried a little of the mountain biking stuff and will stick to the motorized bikes.

Default Help for giving up OT?

    Hi,

I want to know what you all did to let go of the OT skills sham.

At one time, my biggest fear was to die before being Clear and OT....

And I spent so many years of my life working so hard in mind, body and soul to attain OT (and help others)...and looking forward to BEING OT with god knew what skills you'd have (full exteriorization with full perceptions, etc.etc.)..and couldn't WAIT to to SuperPower,bla,bla,bla...

So sometimes it creeps in that I'm gonna be this little WOG for the rest of this life..yet I KNOW it's not like that....yet is there now anything, any STATE that one can still attain WITHOUT the Bridge?

I'm not saying I believe that the OT Levels are real, but it's hard sometimes to let go of BELIEVING they were real and working your tail off to attain them, you know?

    So????

I, for one, haven't given up the dream. I just don't think it's going to happen through the Church. Those who consider it was all a con - I don't blame you.

IMHO, current OTVIIIs have just scratched the surface of their cases. I don't care how long the road is, so long as I get to the end.

    Cheers

Why would you think there's an 'end'?

Yes, when the merry-go-ron stops, you go out the exit, but, it's right next to the entrance, and it's still the same carnival.

However, you may be a little dizzy

From what I've seen, most "current OT 8s" seem pretty screwed up.

But maybe you're right. Maybe their cases are just scratched.

"The way to the goal is not to be measured"

The "end" is when I am just myself as I wish to be in present or any other time and in what location/s I choose to be. I'll use whatever tech works to travel that route and probably fall on my head a lot on the way. I may not even get there. I'm not even driven by this goal; it just feels like the right path for me.

I'm already dizzy so there's nothing to lose.

I wouldn't say those that I have spoken with were screwed-up, but they didn't look like great "products".
