The good news (I think) is that those of us who had logon problems now don't. Thanks Ems for the fix.

Might as well keep the record for the next six months here - although I'd prefer if the problem where fixed. Anyhow, another three attempts at logging in this morning resulted in receiving the following message:

Wrong username or password. You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

. . . no sign of the failed log-ins email notification at this stage.

oh yah I had my loggins all used up too,, it started over a week ago, WHEN I was not in chicago so that makes at least 4 of us.
But starting about 20 hours ago or earlier, I didn't have any problems for loggin but "page requests" requests started to not be filled.
My guess it has to do with the new server? Growing pains

Same experiences here. Today ok but two used up log on messages yesterday.

Yep. There are links that don't work in ESMB. But you can find another way to go in and view that same post.

Rest assured you are not being hacked, it's something else causing the error.

I've put a call into the help desk to get this fixed, but in the interim, could anyone who is experiencing these problems, please do the following:

Before you next try to login:

1. Clear your cache
2. Clear your cookies
3. Clear your browsing history

If you do all that and you are still having problems I can reset your password but will have to do that on a case by case basis.

This is a massive pain for everyone but I'm sure we can all work through it.

Handy hint for Firefox users: press and hold the CTRL + SHIFT keys and then press DELETE to achieve the above.

That's good to know, because seeing the "Failed Login" counter go up when I was certain that I didn't have any typos in my password had me worried for a bit.

After thinking about it for a while, it looked more like a legitimate script going bonkers.

I had done all of the above and requested a password reset, but when I used the new password I had received, I still got the 15-minute-wait message, although I had waited approximately 2 hours before I did that. I hope this helps clarify the issue.
