ESMB: The Mecca of Technical Defection.

What do you get out of being on ESMB? For me, a helluvaLot!

The first few times I visited, it was like having a One-Day-Pass to leave the Scn insane asylum. Inside, that very nervous institution, the patients are allowed to think and speak anything they wish--as long as it is chosen from the Holy Book of Approved Ideas & Words. There are a limited number of things you can say and they must be said verbatim; so the repetition begins to numb your mental faculties around about the time you have heard certain Scieno-Simple-Speak phrases for the 100,000th time, like....

Wow, he, she or it is soooooooo ____________ (fill in the blank with any one of the following): VGI's, BI's, Downstat, Upstat, PTS, Degraded, Suppressive, Out Ethics, Declared, Downtone, Uptone, On Purpose, Off Purpose, False Purpose, Evil Purpose, Command Intention, Counter Intention, Other Intention, Enturbulated, Keyed Out, F/Ning, R/Sing,Criminal, Out Tech, On Source, In Tech, Squirrel..................ad infinitum.

Even without auditing or training, Scieno-Simple-Speak (alone) is guaranteed to take your average Homo Sapiens and turn them into a Homo Knowbest...and eventually into a Homo Numbus when the zombie state is perfected.

So, although I had been out of the ScienoAsylum for a good amount of time, I never really knew that there was a place like ESMB where people made up their own thoughts and used their own words in their own sentences without consulting the Holy Book of pre-authorized originations. Coming here was a wonderfully uplifting experience (not a 'blowdown that totally indicated' :D)

ESMB is a magnificent opportunity to untie all of the thousands of Gulliveresque knots that have bound one to Hubbard's insane vision of the world and laugh like hell while doing it! A veritable spiritual & psycho-LOGICAL denouement made possible by exchanges with the loveliest, funniest, wittiest, brightest, coolest people one could possibly hope to meet! Thanks to everyone here on ESMB, you are simply the best!

now THIS is a great thread!

i have gotten so much out of being here. i have made friends and connections with so many bright and intelligent individuals i never would have known otherwise, but not only that, people who UNDERSTAND what i'm going through because they went through the same thing. even the ones i've talked to who have never been in know enough of the current scene to know exactly what i'm talking about. i think the moral support above anything else has been the most beneficial to me.

also, all the advice i've gotten has saved me so much time and headache. the heartache is, unfortunately, unavoidable, but i feel i have been better prepared and able to handle these things. i know what to expect and i know how to deal with it. this is just from my own experience, as far as getting out and all that, since when i joined esmb i was still in! (hopefully i can change my name!)

its also become a safe haven for me to joke around, and have some smiles. i think i've been more myself here than i ever have anywhere else. its been a real treat being here, reading other people's stories, getting the info on whats ACTUALLY happening around the world with scientology, and THE TRUTH!

above all... the truth. i am so grateful for that, i cant even begin to put it into words.
