I would argue that if everyone were armed and dangerous, people would likely be more courteous and respectful toward each other. The argumentative, discourteous, disrespectful ones would, for the most part, take themselves out of the society.

A fundamental problem is that with every advance of technology a door opens for a new type of crime. People use technology constructively or destructively. Perhaps when governments disarm we can have a discussion about private citizens disarming.

Does that mean that if I have a gun with me, people would be more inclined to offer me their seat on the bus, or hold a door open for me? Would they be more likely to thank me for doing the same for them? I think that there are simpler ways of encouraging courtesy.

In the mid-80's I partnered up with a stranger, who I knew through the CofS,and we went into business. We also became friends. We used LRH Admin tech as simplified into a seminar given by John Woodruff at Orange County Org, called "How to Make a Million Dollars". In 1985 we sold 35 million dollars worth of solar hot water heaters, through a company we had built up over a 3 year period to over 800 employees.
