Moderation and Infractions

ESMB is a very lightly moderated board. There are however a few board rules.

One is;

1. Treat others with respect.
You are to respect every other user on the board despite any personal, religious and political differences. The following will not be tolerated:

* Personal insults
* Ad hominems
* Threats or promotion of violence

It carries a three point infraction. (four points will earn you a short holiday from ESMB).

No big deal, there is no value judgment with being infracted, it isn't a sign that you're unpopular or that no one wants you on the board. It's just how we keep the board civil.

Recently it has happened that when infracted for breaking this rule some have redoubled their efforts to be offensive or abusive and aimed it at the Mod.

There is a sure way to get banned and that's abusing a Mod after being infracted.

If you think you were infracted on the basis of a misunderstanding there *could* be a better way to approach having it overturned and if you really don't want to be infracted then don't abuse other members.

i particularly like the way idiots are left to the 'tender mercies' of the forum members, rather than being infracted and b& for absolutly nothing... so unlike a certain other forum, also in blue & white colours...
