I have some difficulty in understanding all this.. Was it a 'project' that Carly dropped? - Did she get 'the money' from it?

Erh.. Whatever... Since it's scientology 'connected' I'm expecting it to being a scam. Scamming people out of their money IS a scientology holy practice.

Ask not what Scientology can do for you, ask what the F#*¤CK is going on!

    Default Carly Crutchfield's Get-Rich Seminar

Here is how a person gets rich quick:
    1) Set up a shell corporation with very little assets so it looks like you are a real business.
    2) Show people how much money you spend so they will think you have become rich using whatever "get-rich-quick" scheme you are touting--designer handbags, shoes, clothes. This can be done on credit. But in public, you must ALWAYS have that certain appearance.
    3) Hold a seminar in an expensive hotel--don't worry, the money you scam will pay for the expenses.
    4) Sign up suckers and get their money.
    5) String them along as long as possible while getting more money from other suckers.
    6) When the deal goes flat, liquidate the "$2 corporation" and walk away with all the shoes you can carry.
    ----------------

How does this differ from any other shyster scammer seminar we've ever seen? And why do some of these steps look like an event for a certain church we know?

The above is a simple scheme, anyone can come up with this "brilliant idea," (and many have) but not many of us have the personality trait required to just step up and scam their fellow human beings.

    Great program Protest.

It's great that none of us were involved in the making of this episode and I believe that this will send a strong message to the cult. Others will come forward now and I believe there will be other Scio's involved as well.

Unfortunately, Carly is a product of the cult, Sea Org and CMO. The take no prisoners approach and f**k u if you don't want to play the game my way, is the modus operandi of the Sea Org and CMO trained individuals.

I know because I have a daughter in CMO, when she first promoted to CMO I went to see her and on a libs day and went up to her and wanted to give her a big hug outside the AO... she put her hand up and said 'stop, I'm in CMO now' this took me back a step and then I gathered myself and said, 'I don't care if your CMO your my daughter and proceeded to give a big hug.' But the whole thing gave me a heavy heart. I should have grab her then and put her in my car ... shoulda coulda ... The rest is history, disconnection, cause I wouldn't play the game...
    Cheers

That is exactly what Carly's seminar (on wwp) looks like. Carly up there with a few platitudes and some hot air (well, luke warm actually),and a culty looking personality, promising people they can get very rich with very little effort.

Reminds me of ron. Silly charts, hot air and promises.

I watched this vid, my wife's first impression was "it's creepy".

I see all the hype, euphoria and "feel good" of a scam, the clapping, dancing, testimonies and euphoria techniques all looks so familiar and cult like.

Carly proposes that you, with no (or minimum) risk to yourself develop some one elses site, that is after you've taken about $6,000 dollars of her unique courses where you learn, not only how but the power of positive thought and persistence. You can be the master of your own destiny.

This is a house of cards and it's likely to crumble, too much hype and far too much invention of herself as a commodity.

Prior to Today Tonight airing she was set to go on both Channel 10 and nine as a celebrity judge on home reno shows, add that to her secret millionaire debut and her appearance on the National IQ test show and I smell a rat.

James Packer has retaken a stake in Channel 10(18% last month) as well as that he's a good friend of the boss at channel 9. Is James still a Scientologist?

He could be and he might even be using his vast media power to forward a champion for the cult as a "favour" to the local top brass.

The Packer family are so notoriously private that he'd never say one way or the other whether he was in or not.

If they thought they could rebrand the Cof$ through Carly then it looks like we spoiled the party.

We don't yet have the scoop on what went down in this particular circumstance, but here's the scoop on company liquidation, for those who are interested:

    http://www.worrells.net.au/factsheets/Liquidation.htm

In this country (and I think the UK too), liquidation doesn't equate to bankruptcy. One *can* have a company which liquidates, with no financial liability to themselves or to their other companies. That doesn't mean however, that if they are *using* the system as a scam or to avoid responsibility that they will get away with it - There are other laws which cover that, and the directors are or can be subject to litigation.
"Man gets tired, spirit don't. Man surrenders, spirit won't. Man crawls, spirit flies. Spirit lives when man dies.
-Man seems, spirit is. Man dreams, the spirit lives. Man is tethered, spirit free. What spirit is man can be.............What spirit is, the man, can, be"
    - The Waterboys "Spirit" lyrics

He is not still a Scientologist, but his partner is. She goes to the Anzo org. When channel 7 did a review of Sweeney's story with Marty Rathbun, Channel 9 ran one at the same time, which painted Sweeney in a worse light. It was widely regarded as a way of managing the story so they could compete and put a nasty spin on Sweeney, essentially watering down the message.

They still have his auditing folder and the loyalty of his partner.

I notice in this video she uses a lot of sci-speak - ie you have to have intention... there was another key reference, but I can't remember.
