Protest at Narconon Arrowhead

McALESTER — The grieving mother of a 32- year-old man who died at Narconon Arrowhead joined a group of protesters called “Mothers against Narconon” on Saturday.

Shirley Graves, mother of Gabriel Graves who died at facility in October, stood silently holding a poster with picture of her son with several others were stationed at the Arrowhead Park Ranger station, less than a mile from the Narconon facility.

During the demonstration, a moment of silence was interrupted when a photographer from the direction of the Narconon facility proceeded to closely photograph Graves mother while she held the American flag and a picture of her deceased son.

June 23, 2012 - Fox 25 News Oklahoma reporter, Malisa Mendelson, reports on Chanology/Anonymous protest at Narconon Arrowhead in Oklahoma where three deaths occurred recently at this Scientology Rehab Center. Narconons around the globe have faced scrutiny from government and health authorities, with Narconon Trois-Rivieres in Canada forced to close recently following in depth investigations. Narconon Arrowhead is also being investigated and could face the same outcome soon.

August 19, 2012 - Director of Legal Affairs at Narconon, admits to CBC Tv National News that Scientology is taught at Narconon. Director, Andre Ahern, also admits that they don't track most patients who graduate Narconon. That would certainly raise questions about Ahern's statement that teaching Scientology to patients is effective? Without tracking, how do they know the Success Rate?

August 18, 2012 - Montreal Chanology protest at the Church of Scientology in Montreal attracts Anons from New York, Quebec City, Toronto, Laval, and Lachine. Recent media exposure of Scientology Rehabs, Narconon Trois-Rivieres being closed by Health Agency and the recent deaths at Narconon Arrowhead on NBC Rock Center, have encouraged not only Anons to speak loudly, but also the citizens from around the globe. Ex Sea ORG member, Adam Holland, Sparrow from New York, PeterStorm from Quebec City, and David Love from Lachine, joined Montreal Chanology in the protest. Another protest is scheduled at Narconon Arrowhead on August 25, 2012 from 1pm to 6pm in Oklahoma.

Agust 20, 2012 - Former President of Narconon Arrowhead, Lucas Catton, is speaking out about why he thinks the facility is more affiliated with Scientology than it claims. Gary Smith said in a statement to Fox 25: "Narconon has always acknowledged that our organization receives support from the Church of Scientology." There have been four deaths at Narconon Arrowhead - three within the past nine months. Senator Tom Ivester said he will author legislation aimed at regulating questionable practices of a drug treatment program with close ties to the Church of Scientology. The lawmaker said a quick legal search revealed no less than 15 lawsuits against the facility on Lake Eufaula, Narconon Arrowhead. Where there's smoke, there's usually fire, he said.

And since they don't track anyone, who knows how many others died following " treatment "? I surmise that there are far more victims than we'll ever know given that the stigma of addiction ensures silence. What a perfect group of people for the Co$ to target.

Thanks David Love for leading the fight. Any plans to protest CARF as well? My understanding is that they have a Scientologist on their accreditation board.
