Driving around LA

On a recent Saturday I was driving around PAC and noticed the north parking lot had a number of empty spaces. Back in 2002 this lot was normally quite full especially for a Saturday AM. It was damn near impossible to get a space. This was not all just public, SO and org staff park their cars there as well as a few local residents now and again. I would say from a cursory glance there were about 10-15 spaces open. Not a lot, but why would the world's fastest growing religion have ANY open spaces after five years of being full all the time?

Also, does anyone know if the Hubbard life exhibition has cut back it's hours? It looked closed around 10am and I think I read something about shorter hours from another poster earlier.

The testing center on Hollywood is still closed with coverings over the windows. It's been closed for years now. Renos started in 03 I beleive.

The tower on Big Blue is still incomplete and draped in big sheets. Been like that for about 6 years. Leb Hall is not improving with age. Those buildings really look like shit from the outside and it doesn't improve once you are in. Conditions are worse than ghetto housing projects. Okay, maybe equal to them.

In any case, I am enjoying my freedom and feel sorry for those still stuck in there. What a waste of talent and lives.

Who gives a crap about the staff?

Certainly not anyone in the church. Unless you are a close friend to that person. But then if you do something out ethics, you are certainly no longer friends. Until A to E or liability is done. Than maybe. Maybe not.

So why would anyone bother with renos?

Oh, they likely only occur when there is some external (ie: outside of the church such as a PR) flap.

Then they start looking like they give a crap about the staff.

Then the next flap comes along.

Nothing gets completed.

Unless its an org to get in more money. I mean, uh, people. Free people. Oh yeah, thats right. Thats what we're doing, eh? Right.

One of the traits of an SP, not being able to complete cycles of action. We knkow who is the only person giving orders there.

And he CERTAINLY knows that he is absolutely NOT an SP (another trait of an SP).

Join the club. Be free. But you will not, and never will, have any friends.

I'm sure they've redesigned and rebuilt according to DM's whims on each and every project, over and over. Have you ever worked on a Scientology renos project? They are literally impossible to complete. Take the time a regular non-Scientology construction company would take to do a first-rate custom job and 5x to 10x that. Seriously. I've literally built walls to spec and had them come down completely three days later, because someone made a determination that policy demanded a different layout. This happens over and over and over.

All but the last building, which is supposed have half of it as "COB's wing." If the usual happens, it will go on for another 5 years in expensive redesigns and then he decides he never wanted to live there to begin with. The other three buildings were finished, yes.
