From the time I was in the Sea Org and first read Hubbard talking about his whole track successful action of being "Fabian" I clearly understood that he meant elusive, strategically unlocated & transiently ephemeral.

Many years later I looked up the word and thought: "WHAT?!"

I assumed at that point that ElRon had simply misunderstood the word.

But I never heard anyone else mention that until today.

The conventional and published definition of Fabian makes absolutely no sense in the context of how Hubbard used it.

Unless, as you speculate, I may be missing something entirely.

Anyone else want to weigh in on Hell-Ron's use of that word?

He defined it, then used it. He also said that lying is the lowest form of creativity. And, people ask me why I prevaricate. I do it because I can.

I thought i heard it in an S.O. tape ...and (this was ages ago) thought he was talking about moving around from place to place, not fixed, appearing and disappearing unpredictably. Sort of off the radar. It was in reference to his self-proclaimed "wholetrack successful actions".

If my recollection is correct, I think Ronnie needs a visit to the word clearer.

Very interesting. I remember those tapes and other tapes where El Ron clearly used the “Fabian” as you described. I’m embarrassed to say that I had actually never looked up the word and was going off of El Ron’s usage which distinctly was elusive, strategically unlocated & transiently ephemeral.

I’ve been M4ed, M9ed and starrated on Hisself’s SO stuff with that word…and my “understanding” of it.

I think I better go back and annotate Part Fourteen.

Yes. Like many of the words he used, he misunderstood it and made up a new definition, then insisted this was the meaning.
