Default Top 100 Ass Backward Things in Scientology

Here's where all the hypocrisy, irony, contradictions - all the reversals and "becoming what you resist" things go.

OK, let's get the show started:

    PR Series 2
    The Missing Ingredient

Thus the Law: NEVER USE LIES IN PR.

Sea Org members, having devoted their lives to their religion, work long hours and live communally with housing, meals, uniforms, medical and dental care provided by the Church. They participate in Scientology training and auditing during a portion of each day, but otherwise dedicate themselves to furthering the objectives of Scientology through their particular functions.

    From: http://faq.scientology.org/ref_2.htm

    Now, that is a lie.

The medical and dental provisions are welfare - either from State and Federal Government or from services donated by Scieno professionals.

    Let's have fun!!

Awesome. Okay, now I need you to help me so I can post to this thread. I need you to define for me, how things go on this thread that are different from the "Enantiodromia" (which Paul started but which was actually your idea), the 100 Most Stupid, and the Ex-Scn Translation Unit ones that we have going already.

Help me delineate and lay some ground rules down for me 'cause I'm havin' a hard time on the create on this one but I'm trying.

Well, the enantiodromia thread has a serious flaw. It's a catch all to end all catch all's when the topic has anything to do with scientology.

Ask not what Scientology can do for you, ask what the F#*¤CK is going on!

"Never use lies in PR" is what Hubbard called "PR of PR," or "nicey nicey PR."

It's that part of Scientology PR tech, placed on display, that shrouds the rest (less visible) part of Scientology PR tech.

"Statements one makes can be curved. 'She had a birthday party', becomes 'The delinquents inner circle gathered yesterday for a sex orgy and pretended to the police that it was a birthday party. No one was jailed'."

    L. Ron Hubbard, 'PR Series 18'.

"The only safe public opinion to head for is they love us and are in a frenzy of hate against the enemy... this means standard wartime propaganda is what one is doing... Know the mores of your public opinion, what they hate. That's the enemy. What they love. That's you."

    L. Ron Hubbard, 'Battle Tactics'.

The "gentle" concept of PR is doomed forever, thanks to Cof$.
It was always perceived as funny, but Scn hit the nail terminatedly.
Perhaps, it's actually a good thing that was done by the "church", even
    if unintentionally.

Hypocrisy, irony, contradictions??? - Well I just had to add this earlier post to this thread.

In Black we have some rants from their so-called Creed and some of their stated aims.

The hypocrisy, irony and contradictions appear in Red.

    1. Scientology tells us we should be able to think freely, talk freely, write freely, our own opinions and to counter the opinions of others. - Creed
This is only valid for Scientology members when they quote source
It is not valid for critics of the organization or any member who has his/her own thoughts.

    2. Scientology aims to create sane, uptoned, more aware and more able beings.
It created a paranoid organization filled with desperate, angry, sleep deprived, poorly fed, washed out staff members who are scared of critics and of their own superiors.
When members leave the organization and rid themselves of the nonsense they gain the above claim.
Falsely believes that everyone who isn’t a Scientologist is asleep. .

    3. Scientology wishes to bring about freedom for the individual.
It created the RPF and filled it with members who are isolated from the rest of the world, suffering horrendous conditions, for years at a time.
Demands disconnection from family or friends who disagree with the teachings of the cult.

    4. Scientology tells us it will create a more ethical society.
It holds secret archives with files on authorities, former members and their families which they are prepared to use against those people.
Blames any member for holding any doubts about the teachings, and demands that they tell of their ‘crimes’.
It is prepared to create financial problems for members by constantly demanding more money from them.
It lies consistently to the press and authorities on their beliefs and activities.
The cult is prepared to break the law when it feels like it. Its members have been imprisoned because of illegal activities.

    5. Scientology tells us we have the right to choose, assist or support our own organizations. - Creed
Again only valid for those who support Scientology. All others have lost this right because Scientology insists that they are criminals or wogs.
It attacks all Psychiatrists as being evil.

    6. Scientology tells us the spirit alone may heal the body. - Creed
There are reports of members giving up their medical treatment with fatal consequences.
We have yet to see auditing or the Spirit heal a broken leg.

    7. Scientology says we have the right to our own life, sanity and defence. - Creed
Unless you are on staff, in which case Scientology denies all those rights and can demand whatever they want of you.
If you are a critic, the cult rescinds those rights as though they have issued them.

    8. Scientology forbids destruction of our own kind. - Creed
It introduced Fair Game which encourages members to attack anyone who dares to disagree with the cult’s teachings.

    9. Scientology Shuns Invalidation.
Consistently invalidates staff whose stats aren’t up.
It invalidates public members who balk at handing over their hard earned money.
It invalidates anyone who criticises the cult.

    10. Scientology Shuns Evaluation.
Hubbard produced the greatest evaluation of all time when he created the OT levels which told everyone what is wrong with them

    Synthia,

Thought maybe the Enantiodromia thread was gonna' go all "serious" - I know my post was in that vein...plus it's esoteric and maybe an M/U and might not get traffic.

Then I thought what would a dipshit like myself go read and, trying to emulate HelluvaHoax, I thought this might attract flies - because this topic sure do stink!

Also, being a relatively newbie a lot of this ground may've already been covered numerous times, so forgive me for any redundancies.

You flatter me with "ground rules" - I wouldn't know where to begin so post to your heart's content where and how you will. Wasn't it A Crowley's quote, "Do as thou wilt, so mete it be..."?
