    What absolute CRAP!

First of all the Huntington Library and Botanical Garden is in San Marino.

    It's a wonderful place: http://www.huntington.org/thehunting...02.aspx?id=308

That bit about space.....I guess they're talking about when LRH lived in Pasadena with Parsons and did black magic stuff with him and stole his girlfriend (while his wife was living in Washington raising his son).

Yeah, Parsons was a kook, and LRH was a hanger-on to a kook. Not to denigrate either of their contributions to mankind, of course... I'd personally side towards the actual verifiable science that Parsons produced, but that's my own bent.

Also, everyone (not a generality, literally, EVERYONE KNOWS) knows Portland, Oregon is the City Of Roses :D

I'll have to admit that L. Ron Hubbard's pioneering of the United States' Space Program is quite impressive, but not as impressive as L. Ron Hubbard taking time off in the 1980s to invent the internet like Marty Rathbun claimed in one of those SP Times interviews
Yes lurkers you are not alone, everyone thinks Scientology is creepy, it's not just you

Minor achievments compared to "The creation of dianetics is a milestone for Man comparable to his discovery of fire and superior to his invention of the wheel and arch." And so modest.
