Default TIR - Dianetics on Steroids

(It's a bit freaky to see Psychiatrists talk like tone 40 Scientologists sales reps)

" Despite our parting of the ways ( which was not without drama) and despite the advice of some of my friends. I feel it would be wrong not to acknowledge the wealth of information I found in the scientology materials. I have been able to put these materials to good use in my attempts to understand and align the data from all the various disciplines I have studied and to see the truths that all these disciplines contain. There was one year in which scientology and psyhiatry overlapped. During the day, I practiced "conventional" psychotherapy, and in the evenings I functioned as a scientology practitioner. I found my work in the evening to be much more effective than the work I did during the day. This fact FORCED me to take the scientology materials seriously."

Nope, it's just a different body of work, that employs some similar techniques, because Scientology falsely claimed that their techniques were created by Hubbard.

I think the standing on the shoulders of giants comment I saw earlier is a good way to phrase it.

A lot of schools of thought took off from earlier ones. Buddhism from Hinduism and later, elements of Buddhism were absorbed back into vedic practice- that's one example right there.

And, of course, we all know that Hubbard begged/borrowed/stole/whatever from many other things to form Scn. Early psychoanalysis, Buddhism, some occult practices...so why should any Dianetics spin off be different?
I am truly into myself, yes. And I'm just as interested in other people. When I'm not thinking of one, I'm thinking of the other.

NOTE: The Man is NOT a Scientologist and he makes a distiction between Dianetics and Scientology. "Dianetics is used in Scientology"

He "wishes the Scientologists well" lol
