I don't know the actual procedures, but it is easier to extradite to the u.s. than it is to Aus.

As I read the DOX, JAN EASTGATE (AKA Janice Meyers) remains at large for so long as the proceedings remains "online". Can we now expect an endless stream of actions to delay any likelihood of this matter ever getting in front of a meat world Court?

So it sounds like a couple more mentions and then a date will be set to hear the case.
So on the 15th of Sept we should have a trial date, is that correct?

The trial (if one occurs) will be in the District Court. The matter is still in the Local Court until either a plea of guilty or a committal hearing results in the matter being remitted to the District Court. Lots of time before that.

Even without the delaying tactics, Australian Courts move so slowly that it could take two years before anything comes to fruition regardless.

Those who live in Sydney and have a day to visit the Downing Center should sit in open Court and watch all the petty matters that tie up valuable time, particularly traffic fines where there was no "Common Sense" on the part of the "Officer" who wrote the ticket. On a day that I sat there for three hours or so waiting for an AVO to be heard, it was traffic, traffic, and more traffic. If the Judge could have gotten away with it, he would have just cancelled all the tickets and said, "Right, what's next?"
