Persuasion is one of the functions of communication (see my post above).

One can (or can't help but) build ALL of his communications being persuasions (of one form or another).

    - Just sayin'

    ***

    Addition:
One doesn't have to be a magician or a hypnotist to be able to persuade others towards one or the other course of their actions.

Being a coach/trainer, you can tell your clients they do good. Or you can tell them (same circumstances) that they do bad. - It depends on what YOU want from them: more coaching/training? or going back to their own business?

    L.Ron Hubbard DEEP TRANCE THERAPY

    1950, 19 June

"The actual therapeutic value one can get in working painful emotion in deep trance is pretty good. It must be followed up, however, by releasing it again in light reverie, and then again in reverie. You now know the content of it. Don’t try to feed it back to him, because this makes it appear that you know more than he does about it, and he will start feeling that you are cheating
him by not telling him. Simply insist that he go back onto some repeater phrase and run that, and very soon he will be giving you the engram again. One gets it in deep and then gets it in light.

It is actually true that a whole case can be worked from beginning to end in amnesia trance. The recognition of the data by the analytical mind is of secondary importance. I have worked a case in amnesia trance, but I would not like to do it again. Basic personality in that instance was quite weak, with what few attention units he had becoming stuck down very hard at the beginning of the case. The patient would hit some mild bouncer and bounce on it, and so forth.

But you can actually persuade a case all the way through an amnesia trance.

An engram is actually a hypnotic suggestion

pulled this out of DMSMH for the purpose of key words , buttons, to compare it to EL Rons 52 period onward, his talking style , incorporates many generalities that he defines as groupers the most hypnotic of the Key words..
    All, Everything, Now, Here,

    plus others ..

Caution: if the patient is not moving on the track, do not give him repeater words or phrases at random as these will pile up engrams where the patient is stuck.

There are only a few dozens of words necessary to get almost any restimulation. These
would be the key single word repeaters.

They are such words as these: forget, remember, memory, blind, deaf, dumb, see, feel, hear, emotion, pain, fear, terror, afraid, bear, stand, lie, get, come, present, time, difference, imagination, right, dark, black, deep, up, down, words, corpse, dead, rotten, death, book, reed, soul, hell, god, scared, miserable, horrible, past, look, everything, everybody, always, never, everywhere, all, believe, listen, matter, seek, original, , back, early, beginning, secret, tell, die, found, sympathy mad, crazy, insane, rid, fight, fist, chest, teeth, jaw, stomach, ache, misery, head, sex

, skin, baby, it, curtain, shell, barrier, wall, think, thought, slippery, confused, mixed, smart, poor, little, sick, life, father, mother, familiar names of parents and any others [250]. of household during childhood period, money, food, tears, no, world, excuse, stop, laugh, hate, jealous, shame, ashamed, coward, etc.

By the way, in using repeater technique, word or phrase, the Director must not stir the case up too much..

Special Classes Of Commands [ hypnotic suggestion]

    Groupers,
    Misdirectors
    Bouncers,
    Denyers,
    Holders,
    Derailer

., each have their common single words

Note:Using single word technique one often obtains phrases which would otherwise remain hidden but which come into view when the key word is tapped.

    Note: Association /misinterpreted words

Using "hear" as a single word, for instance,
repeated "hear“ several times, "Hear" became "Stay here!"

    [“Know” several times becomes “No”]

And another special case. "Now" is sometimes confused with present time

The single word might have landed the listener on some other of the “hears” in the case.
The word „hear“ might also have landed the patient later on the track.

Grouper All are one, All are nothing ,nothing is ALL ]

The grouper is the nastiest of all types of command.[suggestion]

It can be so variously worded and its effect is so serious on the time track that the whole track Groups, all incidents then appear to be in the same place. This is apparent as soon as the person hits one.
The grouper will not be discovered easily. literally translated, means that all incidents are in one place on the time track:

The grouper would contain: every , time , together , once , difference , Everything , nothing , no , All , we, they, they’re

    everybody , whole , any , only , one
    , Something , somewhere , somebody....

"Everything happens at once," "There’s no time," "Nothing makes any difference" "They’re all in there together,' "It’s all right here." "I have no time" "All up now' is a grouper and a misdirector
are the classic groupers. and thousands more

The moment the suggestion is relieved – the subject being informed that it was a suggestion – the aberration (and all these insanities, etc., are grouped under the heading of aberration) theoretically vanishes.

["You can remember all this in present time" (a serious auditor error if he uses this to a suggestible patient, for it will foul a case).]

    mis-Director

This is an insidious character, the mis-Director.

When it happens, the patient goes in directions, to wrong places, etc.

Any suggestion [key word or phrase] which makes the patient move in a way or direction on the track which is contrary to the desires of the patient.sends the pre-clear [hypnotised subject] in the wrong direction, makes
him go earlier when he should be going later, go later when he should go earlier, etc. "You
can’t go back at this point," "You’re turned around,"etc.

"All up now" is a grouper [All] and a misdirector. [up now]

"Always throwing it up to me"

    . Derailer [ Valence Shifter]

[hidden at the bottom of the phrase classes- serious]

A special case [ of misDirector ] is the Derailer which ”throws him off the track” and makes him lose touch with his time track.

This is a very serious phrase since it can make a schizophrenic and something of this sort is always to be found in schizophrenia.
Some of its phrases throw him into other valences which have no proper track, some merely remove time, some throw him ‘bodily’ out of time.

"I don’t have any time' is a derailer as well as a grouper.

There is another special case of the misdirector.

The auditor says to go to "present time" and the file clerk throws out a phrase with "present" in it. It does not matter if the when the phrase was the subject goes there.

Quote Originally Posted by DMSMH Page 255

The auditor should not say "Come to now,“ because if he did he would find more "Nows" than he could
comfortably handle. "Present" is a rarer engramic [hypnotic] word and is therefore used.
"Now" appears too frequently. (pg 255)
    HERE

    Holders

The holder is the most frequent and the most used since whenever the subject can’t
shift [on the track or come to present], he is in a holder.

A holder combined with a denyer will still hold: if it can’t be found, look for the denyer first, then the holder.

    The holder : catch , caught , trap , trapped , stop , lie , sit , stay , can’t , stuck ,
    fixed , hold , let , lock , locked , come , etc. inhibit prison , stuck , fixed , stay , bind , right here , there ,

And thousands more. Any way words literally understood can stop a person or keep
    him from moving,

Any Suggestion [key word or phrase] which makes an individual remain stuck in time
    knowingly or unknowingly.

    Bouncers

    The bouncer : out , up , return , go , late , later , away , way down , etc.

The bouncer could best be demonstrated by a curve. The pre-clear goes back and then finds himself at ten trillion years of age or even present time. That’s a bouncer at work.
He goes early on the time track: it says come back up.

Any suggestion [ key word or phrase] which, when, makes the patient move back toward present time.
any combination of words which literally mean ejection.

„Get out“ is the classic bouncer. The patient usually goes toward present time.
    And thousands more.

    Denyers

    The Denyer: can’t, don’t, wont , not, never, I don’t know
Any suggestion [key word or phrase] which makes a patient believe that the suggestion does not exist.

Mind memories are restimulated, or triggered, by, such as a word or group of words, or a scene . The effect of repeating words is to increase the sensitivity of the stimulus-response in which these memories may be held, so that smaller and smaller restimulations trigger reactive behavior.

    Valence shift

Valence shift is somewhat undesirable when employed on a suggestible subject since it violates the dianetic rule
that no [positive/ negative] suggestion be used

Therefore valence shift is seldom employed and rarely on a suggestible person.

I've had some good success, actually, as a "preclear" (the term I use, now, is "viewer") with this technique. It was surprisingly effective, because I didn't think anything was there until I started repeating the phrase "there's nothing there". Turned out it was something my father used to say to me when I was waking up screaming from nightmares. I used to get really bad ones about doctors opening my skull and poking different parts of my brain with electrodes (no, this never happened in real life). The doctors, btw, weren't human beings. They looked suspiciously like "mind flayers" from Dungeons & Dragons.

I "ran out" the nightmares. Haven't had them, since.

The relevance of the grouper generality, and the main point of my above post is that Spell Ron uses these KEY words in the majority of his lectures to disorientate.

The ones below fairly well cover groupers, this is an example of generalities on a massive scale, they say, and 'everybody knows' in the ethics traita are just a icing..

all and nothing...all is one..one is all..

    Everyone, no-one, someone

    Totally, total, totality

    ALL, none,

    every, ever, never,

    no-thing, every-thing some-thing,

    some-where, every-where, no-where.

    every-body, some-body, no-body

    every-time, some-time, at no-time,

    every-place ,some-place, no place

    every action,

    They, them, their, us, we,

    the reason

    The Only

    Whole Track

Where does your mind get displaced to when he raves out these 'groupers'..

    Confusion, random motion...

And the second he[subject] spots the action [my directed activity], all is explained. And, of course, this type of action is a very deep level of don't-know[ implant].

Nobody must know about it, and as a matter of fact, except [me], I don't think anybody ever does, right up to present time.

Well, of course, when 'they' [ I ] start really implanting the boys, 'they' naturally will ARC break it as much as 'they' can, because that really makes it stick. 'They' make it betrayal.

Whos up for giving Covert Spells/ Persuasion a go..

    Understand the Power of Suggestion

It is easiest to apply conversational hypnosis
tricks and persuasion techniques on people
    you already have relationships with...

Why? Well, it's because they already
trust you. Because they don't have their
guard up, they are more likely to follow
    your flow of mind.

By merely suggesting or subtly insinuating
something, they will be able to grasp
that idea and claim it for their own.

    Use the Right Words

    It's important that you realize
the importance of choosing the right words.

    A single mistake can drastically
affect how a person will react.

For example, when talking to a person who
sticks to logic, you have to avoid words that insinuate
    any sort of emotional attachment.

You have to use terms you know will appeal to
him or her in order to get what you want.

    Don't Be Too Obvious

While trying hard is not especially a
bad trait, something like this could ruin even
the most effective of conversational hypnosis
    tricks and persuasion techniques.

After all, the basic premise here is that
you're supposed to be as subtle as possible.

People don't want to be manipulated.
Whatever your intentions are, keep in mind that people
won't listen to you unless they could
benefit and they know you're doing
    this for their own good.

Conversational hypnosis techniques are very useful
    in everyday life.

This is not developed just so someone
    could have fun.

You can apply some of these tricks at work,
at school or when you're out socializing
    with other people.

Remember agree agree agree, Yes Yes Yes,

    Not Rons way...
