    Good catch!

Maybe because: Imagine you're brat who hasn't cleaned up his room for a month, and you've catched a large fish and decided to nail it to your wall as a throphy rather than eating it. Now the smell has you worried.. Or rather, you know it'll have your mom worried.

So.. When your mom screams: "YOU get this mess claened up NOW!" - it'll send the shivers down your spine and you will know you're in deep shit..

If, on the other hand, she screams: "I will get this mess cleaned up NOW!", you'll be in the clear. No trouble at all!

Hmm.. Didn't Hubbard 'assume' that engrams, which are described as verbal commands in the 'reactive mind' works, even when the engram contents is in chinese as spoken 5.723 years ago in an obscure province of the Himalayas?

The idea about homophones is certainly interesting.. And since we must assume that Hubbard 'applied' his own 'tech' his choice of the word 'Bank' is very suspect..

    Clear your bank!

Ask not what Scientology can do for you, ask what the F#*¤CK is going on!

    NIHILISM* and Brainwashing

    * Nihilist.
Nihilism (play /ˈnaɪ.ɨlɪzəm/ or /ˈniː.ɨlɪzəm/; from the Latin nihil, nothing) is the philosophical doctrine suggesting the negation of one or more putatively meaningful aspects of life.
Moral nihilists assert that morality does not inherently exist, and that any established moral values are abstractly contrived.

    *ICONOCLAST
1.a person who attacks cherished beliefs, traditional institutions, etc., as being based on error or superstition.

2.a breaker or destroyer of images, especially those set up for religious veneration.

Medieval Latin iconoclastes, from Middle Greek eikonoklastēs, literally, image destroyer, from Greek eikono- + klan to break — more at clast
    First Known Use: 1641

A nihilist is a man who judges of the world as it is that it ought not to be, and of the world as it ought to be that it does not exist.
    —Friedrich Nietzsche,

Ron the Nilhilist , the Nullify-er, using english as mathematical equations to nullify a persons core dreams, beliefs in his doctrine.and doing this he slips into an iconoclast*

This Nihilism ,zeroing, nullifying is ~in my opinion~ what Hubbard uses in his doctrine, its how the Dynamics are used as leverage to cancel out value of the individual ( to nill) and his or her family relationship, personal dreams , personal wants are zeroed for the cause.

all for the greater good, this mechanism is used in Hubbards sentences.
Its how he cancels out the great thinkers credibility using strawman arguments zeroing his opponent , whether they be the government, Aristotle, the psychologists, the tax department, Christ, Nihilism could be reducing/debasing a person to be more susceptible to control, their urges wiped out.

Its not only in the concepts , but the sentences employed.

Nullify, discredit, uncredit, devalue, debase, take to null, nill, zero.

He takes others works and adds to himself a credit point.

And then hit the notes to get a pin ball score with "his" discoveries,

    Ron 12,365,879,090

    Opponents 0

Sometimes his dichotomous statements are zeroing type concepts, rather than true synonym/antonym statements example, Know and Not know are not acceptable opposites, they are canceling , they are confusion.

Know "button" as a confusion technique.

Transcript of Derren Brown English Hypnotist in action.

Main point is the Now, Look, Know,

Derren Brown: “All of us can be influenced through psychological techniques, for example if I say “don’t look at a black cat”, what do you do? You think of a black cat, because the command “think of a black cat” was there in the sentence.

Techniques like this can be used to influence peoples thoughts, behavior , even their memory.”

Derren Brown approaches a passenger sitting on a train.

Derren Brown: “Excuse me Sir, were doing a documentary on the..uh.. underground, can I ask you what stop your getting off at?

    Passenger: Warren Street

    Derren Brown Pardon?

    Passenger: Warren Street

Derren Brown: Warren Street, excellent, can I sit with you for two seconds, is that alright?

    Passenger: Yeah

Derren Brown sits touching the passenger deliberately on the arm.

: Yeah the documentary is sort of about how easily t r a i n s o f t h o u ght can become confused you can have a piece of information that you know you should know [derren touches passengers arm] and then suddenly ..[Derren flashes hand twice in front of the eyes of passenger] its just literally gone from your mind like that [ Passenger looks confused]

[more back & forth hand movements in front of Passengers eyes]
sorry what was the stop you were getting off at?

    Passenger looks up dazed..

Derren Brown: Look at me what was the stop you were getting off at?

    Passenger long pause, looking around.

Derren Brown: Can you see it up there? [Points to train destinations map]

Derren Brown : What was it?

Passenger: Stutters, um..im just trying to find it at the moment…..

Derren Brown:[ Flicks passenger on forehead] There , click, you got it, what is it?

    Passenger: Warren Street.

    Derren Brown: Warren Street.

    Derren leaves, Passenger puzzled.

Afterwards explanation by passenger: “I don’t know what he did, he just sort of got ..ah..and then I

    Derren Brown:Yeah..Kings Cross?

Passenger: I can see the sign.

Derren Brown: It was on the tip of your tongue wasn’t it.

    Passeneger: Ye a h. [2 mins 0 sec]

Next subject Black middle aged male.

Derren Brown: The stop you were getting off at was….?

    Passenger: Archway.

Derren Brown: Archway, excellent ok, and your visiting a friend there?

Passenger: Yeah, visiting a friend there, yeah.

Derren Brown: you got a good memory?

    Passenger: To visit friends.

Derren Brown: Visit friends and where is it what stop?

    Passenger: Shakes head..

Derren Brown: Is that weird, it must be strange.

And others. Now is sometimes confused with present time ...
The auditor should not say „Come to now,“ because if he did he would find more "nows" than he could
comfortably handle. "Present" is a rarer engramic word and is therefore used.

"Now' appears too frequently. (pg 255)

1852 Rogets Classification of similar meaning words & degrees of opposites.

I looked through the index of Rogets to see which words had their meaning branching out and cross categorizing into multiple uses. You could call it definitions but consider it deeper .Base words & theyre similars and opposites have more potential to be manipulated.

Most words have a base meaning or derivation, that has its Synonyms~similar's and Acronyms , shades degrees of opposites.

Example of this is Scientologys Inhibit which has as its base Hold which in Rogets crosses into 65 different categories of everyday usage including to inhibit. Holding in its various forms is used extensively in Scientology, depending on its skewed application for the "greater good of scientology & scientologists"

consider that words cross categories in normal usage, could cause the most dispersion of comprehension as one attempts to fit the meaning to the context.

compiled is a list of words, that cross over the most categories. There are 1000 categories from existence down in Rogets collection.

IMO Hubbard used this classification of Rogets for thought-storming Metaphors between spiritual and physical and to double cross meanings and themes, to divert attention and place the person into a thought maze with impasses.

Simplicity is superior truth Hubbard says.

Complexity is inferior lies Hubbard does.

Hmm.. Actually this stuff has me 'confused'.. I really can't see myself being fooled the way that Derren Brown does this.. Weird 'Jedi' hand movements and all..

    Here's the video btw:

But I can certainly follow the 'logic' of it all.. And Hubbard explained this exact point too, as well as used it on us all in lectures and in session..

And even as I can't se myself being effect of this kind of hypnotism.. I certainly DID become effect when Hubbard and Scientology hoodwinked me with it.

I kinda thought the same thing, but in public with a crowd and camera watching, the isolated individual becomes exposed.

Hubbard isolates his listeners & readers.

I think Derren is quite competent with his pace and rhythm hits, just as his subject goes to look inside he interrupts him back with confusion.

The Know, Now & Look are commonly used.

Hubbard increases the octave with antagonist criticism and scare tactics.

Appreciate your thoughts on it Schwimme

"The Jedi hand movement" is a technique called "The face pass" and is related to the confusion technique. Note that Darren Brown does not show the videos where his technique did not work. However, if you were a street pickpocket or a cult leader, the technique would work often enough to make a decent living from lies. In $cientology instead of a face pass Hubbard uses an E-meter.

that confusion technique page and the other one linked from it, at one time, were the first web or blog pages on the net describing the technique and the #1 and #2 spots on google for the phrase..

within a few months there appeared hundreds of pages, many wanting to sell you something, like a course on covert hypnosis.. and our pages on lermanet got buried... then, after a couple of years or more, we came back to #1 & 2 on google for the phrase "the confusion technique"

site:lermanet.com The confusion technique gets 130 results

The technique is also the basis for the KUBARK Alice in Wonderland routine mentioned in my sig line.

Reading the net or even ESMB I find myself sometimes wondering just what the hell this person's point of posting was... I have concluded that not only are there a lot of confused people out there, but there are operatives who actively use such distractive techniques to confuse readers, especially if the subject of the thread is intensely damaging to scientology or some other interest.. and especially if there appears to be a build up of enthusiasm.. which is often also hosed down with ice water commentary.

I now assume, that if something doesn't make sense to me it doesn't make sense.

Confusion makes thinking stop. It allows the person using it to afterwards insert a falsity about something, that as a simple phrase, does make sense. This simple phrase, so-and-so is a liar (for example) even if untrue, gets accepted literally by the subconscious, after the awake mind has been, in essence, taken off line by the prior confusions, which opens the door to the subconscious, and then is integrated into world view of the target.

To restate this somewhat confusing subject:
After enough confusion, the mind becomes desperate for sense, thus after exposure to a series of confusing statements, especially when presented quickly by a fast talker, the mind seizes the first statement that does make sense, as TRUE.

    Arnie Lerma

Hypnotist, and psychologist George Estabrooks said that the ONLY defense from being covertly manipulated was to become familiar with the techniques being used upon you.

One of my rallying cries~ "Inoculation fer de Nation!"

'Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones. I am not afraid.'
