I'm with Roger on this one, the game was reorganised by practical working class people and called "League". It became "the" game to follow in Australia, Nth of Wagga. South of Wagga is "Aussie rules" country.

I admit that I am more of a Rugby man too. That is why I like to make the distinction between them. Although I would have to admit, over the past twenty odd years the games are getting closer in form to a certain extent .

I watched that game with a group of mates, believing that the wallabies were going to destroy the Irish. Look at what they did to the all blacks a couple a weeks back, they made the ABs look ordinary at best. By half time we all thought the Irish could do it, the words holy fark was said more than once. It was a fantastic game although your team lost.

My drink almost exited out my nose, I chocked and laughed at the same time, beautiful imagery. Ah here though rugby is played by all walks of life, those that work with their hands and those that earn a living with their minds.

Chris seems such a decent bloke. Good on him for not obeying DM. Affidavits are getting a bit old now. People are not stupid. They can tell these exes are seriously telling the truth. What would the exes have to gain by telling lies about management anyway

And as much as the dwarf screams about people who left the church they are the people who were thought well of and in for many many years.

Lots and lots of high up well respected people have bailed out. In this case not only is there a fire under the smoke there is a raging wild fire.

Davie boy, bless his black heart, is burning it to the ground.

We are fortunate that he is such an uneducated, unskilled, anti-social little alcoholic that is completely incompetent at managing the scam.

It is all falling down around him.

How many will he take with him?
Question: I know the popular consensus is that Danger Mouse is monitoring everything on the web. Is that true? Can he read all that stuff about himself and not go batshit crazy and maybe do something stupid?

It frightens me to think of what a violent, cornered person is capable of.

    Worth quoting:

Former league star slams 'violent' Scientology
    Joe Kelly
    From: The Australian
    September 23, 2011 12:00AM

A FORMER rugby league star has attacked the head of the church of Scientology, David Miscavige, describing him as a "violent man" who sent him to a re-education camp for 2 1/2-years where he was paid as little as $2 a week and stripped of his passport.

Chris Guider was a former hooker for the St George rugby league team, but left the sport at 24 after being encouraged to devote more time to the church.

After spending 2 1/2-years working full-time for the church in Sydney, Mr Guider travelled to the US, where he worked closely with Mr Miscavige.

The former player told the ABC's Lateline yesterday he saw Mr Miscavige beat a former staff member, Mark Fisher, who worked at the Religious Technology Center.

"He's a violent individual," said Mr Guider.

"He is. And there are accounts of him being physical with people. I've seen him physically beat one staff member, Mark Fisher, who was formerly an executive in the RTC."The church has denied the accusation, and sent Lateline two sworn declarations from church members claiming Mr Miscavige did not hit Mr Fisher.

This is despite evidence from Mr Fisher to the St Petersburg Times that he was beaten by Mr Miscavige and statements from at least four other former members of the church.

Mr Guider said he was later sent to a re-education camp, called Rehabilitation Project Force, in Dundas in suburban Sydney, after refusing to carry out a direct command from Mr Miscavige to beat a fellow church member with a riding crop-like implement.

Mr Guider said the church had stripped him of his passport and credit card and paid him as little as $2 a week.

He has made a complaint to the Fair Work Ombudsman.

"It's like prison, except it's worse. You don't have television, you don't have visitor rights, you can't read the newspaper you can't read books, you can't listen to music," he said.

In the camp, he met his current wife, Valeska, and the pair have since left the church and had a baby boy. "I found out that the leader of the church, David Miscavige, is basically a very toxic person," Mr Guider said.

"It's not about people's lives and helping other people and being a beneficial program for other people.

"It's about control and getting money, and I disagree with that."

It would gladen my heart to know that bastard read what I wrote.....and others, too !

While it is in the realm of his insanity to assign people to C & P anything said about his little self... it doesn't make sense he would take the time required to read it ( particularly at the slowness of his almost double digit uneducated IQ ).

If he has someone reading this stuff...good......they'll blow after getting the information posted here theyr never got to see.

Is he capable of harming some others? Uh, where is Shelly? Maybe he has already done more than " harm ' to another.

Yeah, he is capable of murder. Remeber Lisa McPherson ?

Wouldn't a face to face one on one with that little twerp.... be so much fun?

    On the SBS website www.sbs.com.au:

Scientology hits back at ex-member claims
    23 September 2011 | 07:11:21 AM | Source: AAP

The Church of Scientology has hit back at a former first grade rugby league player who accuses the head of the church of being violent towards members.

Chris Guider, who played for St George in the mid-1980s, gave up his sporting career at the age of 24 to join the church full-time.

Mr Guider said after two and a half years he moved to the US, where he worked closely with David Miscavige.

He alleged Mr Miscavige committed a number of acts of violence.

"I found out that the leader of the church, David Miscavige, is basically a very toxic person," Mr Guider told ABC Television's Lateline program.

"He's a violent individual. I've seen him physically beat one staff member ... who worked very closely with Miscavige for a lot of years."

Mr Guider said Mr Miscavige told him to hit a colleague, who was putting together a promotional video for Scientology.

"Miscavige told me to beat the guy with the stick. I looked at him and I refused to do that.

"He took that very, very seriously because I didn't do what he wanted me to do."

Mr Guider said he was punished over the incident and sent to the church's Rehabilitation Project Force (RPF) in Sydney for two and a half years.

"It's like prison except it's worse. You don't have television. You don't have visitor rights. You can't read the newspaper. You can't read books. You can't listen to music."

    'NEGATIVE CLAIMS'

The Church of Scientology in Sydney said in a statement: "Chris and his wife Valeska Guider, both former long-term religious ministers of the Church of Scientology, are currently engaged in an ongoing action against the Church of Scientology with the Fair work Ombudsman (FWO).

"Their negative claims have only now surfaced since this FWO action was lodged, and are not backed up by statements from their contemporaries.

"These allegations appear to have been made to bolster their claims for money to which they are not entitled."

The Church of Scientology produced copies of sworn declarations from church members who deny the incident with Mr Miscavige.

These included his ex-wife and the editor involved.

It also said the RPF is a voluntary religious program offered to provide a second chance to people who have failed in their responsibilities.

"Upon completion of the program in 2008, Chris Guider featured in a story in The Sydney Morning Herald that he personally arranged through an independent source and spoke glowingly about Scientology," the Church of Scientology statement said.

"In this article he says, `I passed through rigorous training programs and learnt professional-level pastoral counselling and delivered it, aiding people overcome their self-doubts and reach the highest levels of performance.'

"Such a declaration is not in keeping with someone unhappy with the RPF or the Church."

Uh-huh. My opinion: a person is entitled to change his mind when new information is absorbed. This is what decent, sane people do.

Uh, no one is every allowed to change their mind !

However the "church" is free to change it's mind about people who are in or were in " their " church.

The church can change it's mind but the members can't?

    How insane !

Chris Guider tackles the head of Scientology, watching from the sidelines it seems as though the inimitable St George player just came out of nowhere and at full tit hit that asthmatic dwarf right in the gonads. Good show Chris you havent lost that go hard attitude.

Rather the purpose is to make new scientologists.
And that is what they are trying to fool libraries, businesses and schools into helping them do - spread Scientology and make new scientologists.

Thanks to Lawrence Brennan for the above quote.
