Yes, you can fly, but first you have to break out of that cocoon. You are capable of self rescue at all times. Any one recall Rick Melrose and his "Sunday Service" lectures?
I remember him at Palo Alto (when we were in that cool (mini) mansion on Middlefield Rd. at Hamilton), he had an audience of
a range of people from brand new to OT 7s, with Ron-trained class VI & VIIIs. He gave his talk on scn axioms and at the end
everyone from "raw meat" to "old-timers" sat with jaws dropped and eyes goggling! It was pretty cool.
I heard him talk at Los Gatos Mission (on Jackson St. in LG) and staff and public (like myself) stayed around for hours talking about what we heard. It was an electrifying experience.
It seems strange now, but recalling those early days I can see how the early levels of scn were, at times, rather enticing...
Anyone care to talk those (our own) early days? (My early days were 1978-1981 or so.)

I had a 1950 Plymouth with an air vent operated by an arm under the dashboard. one day Rick Melrose and I were driving in the City, and he told me of having had a similar car once. he told people that the vent was a ram charger. When the vent was opened (by his passenger), he would push the gas down to make the car go faster.
in 1973, I started the Los Gatos mission / org in my living room in Willow Glen. I, initially, asked permission from Jim Vanier at SFO to name it "The Jesus Christ Memorial Dianetic Counseling Group." That name was rejected. As was "Lancers' named after the Spanish wine. The first comm course I gave, had ten people on it, which is more than the Los Gatos Org has typically on all their courses on any given night now.
In the late 60s and early 70s, we had entertainment and Sunday Services at Santa Clara , Menlo Park, and Palo Alto. Singers, musicians, and comics came up from Celebrity Centre every week end. Audiences were always over a hundred people. It was great fun.
There were parties and barbecues frequently. Sans clothing at a significant percentage. Truth or Dare parties were in vogue for awhile.
swimming pools, hot tubs, lots of naked bodies (and dogs - lots of dogs)
We were young.
In 1969, during lunch break(s), Laurie Noonan and I would go find a car seat, a trunk, a stretch of grass for quickies.
In the early 70s, my girl friend, Martha, and I had an upset. Phil gave her a session, and asked how I was in bed. She replied, "The best!," her needle floated, and our ARC X was over. Word of that session made its way through the Palo Alto center like lightning. i told people that I had a degree in cunilinguistics.
Then in 1976, Martha and I were in her bedroom, and she mentioned that Phil and Teri were separating, and Phil had something going with Julie. I thought to myself that "I'm in the wrong bedroom." That night, I called Teri, and set up a date for the week end. In two weeks, she moved out of the house that she shared with Phil, and we moved in together. Just the two of us,.... and the four children. Two years later she and Phil got divorced, and we got married, and Julie and Phil got married.
It was the Scientology that was fun. Not the serious stuff that it became.
So send me the prospectus already. I wanna get in on the ground floor before this thing goes into the basement.
