I've added a new module, RAWRogers. This is pretty much an amalgamation of the Reach & Withdraw pages from Core and the Rog (Rogerian Therapy) pages.

These two procedures are better suited to heavy topics than the others, and so I put them together in the same module.

I added a new page too, called Trigger Episodes.

It's available online, or in the latest all-in-one zip file at http://paulsrobot.com/zips/PaulsRobo...2012-04-29.zip (204 MB).

Slate is now up and running in PaulsRobot3. It is a Robot version of Alan C. Walter's Clean Slate procedure.

I've kept to the original, pretty much. The online version starts at http://paulsrobot3.com/acw/slate, but the best thing to do is to download the latest complete zip file from http://paulsrobot.com/zips/PaulsRobo...2012-05-05.zip. It's 211 MB.

    Have fun.

There's a new module now at Paulsrobot3 called (temporarily) Rizzo. For the main part of it, the user goes through questions from a Lifelist until something gets stirred up, at which point he takes his hot topic and discharges it with any combination of three procedures: Reach & Withdraw, 6-Direction and Rog. Rub & Yawn is used as part of it too.

The Lifelist is an interesting development. Currently I have two of around 50 questions each, but there could usefully be thousands of them. General lists could have questions like "Financial worries?" or "Trouble with in-laws?," while specialised lists could have questions like "Failed to kill someone?" (General military) or "Hostile takeover?" (Fortune 500 CEO). Kinda like a sec-check list but without the O/Ws.

The temporary name derives from Albert "Skip" Rizzo Ph.D., Research Scientist and Research Professor at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies and Dept. of Psychiatry/School of Gerontology, who "conducts research on the design, development and evaluation of Virtual Reality systems targeting the areas of clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation."

In the YouTube comments to the SimCoach video below . . .

. . . he said he would contact me about *my* Robot. He didn't, so I nudged him. He then said,
    Hey Paul,
Sorry to not get back to ya on this. I am interested, but have been on non-stop travel for the last month and will be getting back to LA on Weds night [9 May]. Upon my return, I will give this my full attention and make contact with you then. Sorry, I have been struggling to keep up.

Anyway, I threw together this Rizzo module for him in 4 days, as he could probably "SimCoach" it if he wanted to. I figured the name would attract his attention.

Will I hear from him? If so, what will he say?

Although I can't say I'm losing any sleep over it. Even if I don't hear from him, I'm very glad I came up with that Lifelists idea, as it opens up many useful possibilities.

    WOW!!!!
    Did I say Wow?

Gosh, you gotta lotta new stuff lately.

I gotta tell ya though... that SIM coach triggers me. Same reaction I had to Krusty the clown. Glad I won't be using it. I am definitely going to work on the Clean Slate material. Roger made it available to me two years ago but I didn't grok it. Yours is like the Hooked On Phonics shallow gradient version. I like that cause my brain is slowing.

    Thanks

You are getting very sophisticated and artistic with your work. Truly amazed by how much you've put out there. Awesome.

Thank you, Hats. I don't like that SimCoach too much as it just seems like a distraction to me. When I was first putting PaulsRobot together I wondered how to make it more human, with visuals too. I rapidly decided there was no need, as it would all be superfluous. Quite apart from the difficulty of me doing it with Sims 2 figures or something.

SimCoach is based on SmartBody, which is open-source software. I took a quick look at making Rizzo a SmartBody module, but it would be a big learning curve for me to program the lip-sync and so forth and to remove the superfluous body motions. Plus it wouldn't achieve anything useful beyond the wow factor.

I hope you find Slate useful.

I've added the List1 module to PaulsRobot3. Basically this the original list (as best he remembers) developed by Alan C. Walter around 1963 that became the famous (Scn) L1C list. Note that List1 only addresses auditing, while the L1C was expanded to include general upsets.

I've updated the whole-enchilada zip file, now weighing in at 234 MB, and downloadable from http://paulsrobot.com/zips/PaulsRobo...2012-05-16.zip.

I've also added Mega, which is a one-stop-shop module. It utilises user-appropriate Lifelists to selectively trigger and discharge hot topics one by one, over many sessions. Once a hot topic has been found, the user can pick and choose among 11 modules to help discharge it, namely Core, Rog, HeavyDuty, Morph, BasicR3X, Dipoles, Psycho, Ruds, Int/Ext/Stay by Groups, FDS, and Slate.

Every module will not be suitable for every topic, and one should already be familiar with any module before using it on a hot topic.

It's included in the latest zip file linked in the previous post.

One of the Lifelists is based on the Holmes and Rahe stress scale, and its junior version. The "browse the whole list" page is here: http://paulsrobot3.com/lifelists/hol...-rahe-list.htm. The user has a choice of just starting at Q01 (he wouldn't see this page) or looking over the whole list and choosing a question by clicking on the link. The user gets to choose between addressing his hot topic with Rizzo (for beginners) or Mega (for experts). Then after a short what, when, where series of questions, he gets to choose which module. Rizzo allows changing among the three, but Mega doesn't allow changing between the 11 (it wouldn't work).

That's too much to digest over my smartphone. Will look at it in detail later.

You would not believe the horse shit they use for group therapy in so many clinics. It would make a person laugh out loud. Actually its probably a budget matter. I'm gonna put Paul's Robot in the suggestion box next time I visit my friend at South Seminole Hospital.

Yeah, PaulsRobot doesn't scale down to smartphone size at all. There is the Yawnguy Custom Audio stuff at http://www.yawnguy.com/custom/ which is a collection of mp3s you can play around with, but the whole PaulsRobot trip? No way. Two reasons: First, the screen is far too small. Secondly, Apple has turned off the background sound capability of HTML5, so it won't work on the iPhone or iPad. I don't know if the background sound works on Android.

Maybe someone with an Android phone could click on this link: http://paulsrobot3.com/core/quick-else.htm and tell me if the audio works. . v4.0? v3.x? v2.x?

I wouldn't bother with the suggestion box. There are so many preconceived ideas that PaulsRobot violates that it bounces off almost everybody. And that is just people using it for themselves — as for someone in a position of authority recommending something officially in a health-care environment? Er, no.

The audio in the video works on Android without booting into youtube. I did not see where else to look for audio in the linked page above.

Who is your PC in the demo? Hysterical!! Dat U??? Sounds like me when I run out of coffee.
