in the seinfeld episode it was a city ordinance that had just been passed. (at the time of the Seinfeld episode there was much discussion in this country about whether not reporting a crime should be a crime in itself.

You are correct - only certain occupations are required to report certain types of crimes - mostly concerning child abuse or intention to harm another.

This is the mark of a True Believer. The willingness to help hide crimes if it is thought it will protect LRH's image. Such irony, a group that is seeking "truth revealed" but has turned into "truth concealed".

They would if they had come to their senses and now believed they had to "make up the damage" caused by supporting a raving SP for so many years.

Yeah, it is a long shot, but I think M&M have been working quietly on these two behind the scenes. That was probably Marty's bigger goal, to get back "in good" with TC. His hatred of DM was probably more a jealousy thing. lol!

First off, the crime committed by that email is NOT blackmail. It is called extortion. Extortion is considered normal practice in the church, especially against staff members. That's why people say they feel imprisoned. The church has the power to tear your family apart, to deny you the ability to speak to friends. When you've been on staff all you have are family and friends when you leave, you need their help lest you end up jobless and homeless. Ths is the trick, the scientology community will help you but only if you do techy things.

It's really ingenuous the mind control system Hubbard set up. Truly remarkable.

Second off this is NOT a woman who wants to right the wrongs or seek restitution from the church. What you are witnessing is a literal feud between church members. This however may end up being much worse for the church than anticipated.

This is the grown up version of a temper tantrum.
