Another letter to my scientologist father - April 2012

Im sharing this with you for informational purposes... I put some thought into this but he won't read it, so you might as well.

You could become an Independent Scientologist

Hi Dad,

I continue to be amazed how many Scientologists I have met since this shit happened. It is startling to know that through facebook, I am on the comm lines of more scientologists now then as a member of the Toronto org. If you don't beleive me, look at my facebook friends list.

Even though I am not a Scientologist any more, many of these people are in agreement with me, because they can plainly see that I am not spreading hatred for the spiritual views, even though you have been told otherwise by your Ethics Officer. I am in strong disagreement with the way things are run in the organizations, including actual crimes commited by management terminals. There are good reasons why I disagree.

I may have said things because I was upset, but the bottom line is I am not against your religious beliefs. If that were true then I would have very few friends or supporters. And another thing your Ethics Officer doesn't want you to know is that the Anonymous protesters outside the Toronto org - the ones with the most commitment - also aren't against your beleifs. You can ask them, they will tell you. They have families and jobs and lives of their own, but they take the time because they have learned what management is guilty of. You might think they are reading lies on the internet, but if the stories about family disconnection aren't true, then you will have to explain to Anonymous why I live alone, and why you wont talk with me anymore.

So I want you to be aware that we are not separated because of your beliefs, but because you are being controlled by management. Management uses its authority harshly, and they don't want you asking questions. The day that you decide not to do whatever they command you, then we can be together again.

You will find that you can continue to be a scientologist without being a member or supporter of the organization. You won't have to condone their crimes any longer, you will get to keep a lot of your money, and you will be able to talk with me like all the others who escaped management. And then I could introduce you to a TON of other Scientologists who you could become great friends with.

I'm sorry for you, but... Your letter is just the type of letter that one might send to an alcoholic or drug-addicted relative. It is sad and futile.

It may seem futile, but I am currently doing much the same thing. You never know just what will create a dent in the bubble. And IMO when it affects so many lives, you have to keep trying (until you just can't anymore.)

That is a lovely letter and I can see why you would write that.However, is that really how you feel, re the "religious" beliefs or is it a need to say that in order not to come across as an attacker.

You see, I firmly believe that is is those supposed "religious" beliefs that got us all into this mess in the first place. If it wasn't for those beliefs people would not be being abused.The so called "religious" tenets of Scientology are the abuse which is perpetrated against all it's followers, including those of the Freezone, which is why it is a blind faith.

Strictly adhered to Standard Tech set out by Hubbard is not only abuse, it is fraud.Make no mistake, Hubbard did intend for it to be strictly adhered to, he says so himself in many of his policy letters and books.That's why I get so cross about these LRH trained "Class Eights",whom still after all these years think they have some kind of wisdom that will help people. The only wisdom they have, is that which they don't talk about.It's too much "entheta"!All part of the trap, you mustn't talk about negative things.

I have seen and heard Hubbard say this very thing about " not having entheta on lines" whilst gaily throwing people over the side of the ship.Now there's ARC for you.

Sorry I can't agree, it's the same trap, sugar coated with, we don't approve of the abuse, Scientology is abuse, it's written in the manuals.

I do understand you must do what you feel is best, but I think that is why these real old timers have never been able to let go.

I would just keep sending things like this. He has to know how bad things are, he must feel it. 80% of sales are made after 8 attempts where as most salesmen quit after 2 attempts.

There was probably a time for each of us that we would have ignored such a letter from a loved one and it would not have been difficult to act for that fake greatest good and make the no-brainer decision to disconnect. After all, family are just thetans with a similar GE, no biggie.

Keep chipping away. Use scn on the scngist...that's all they understand. Do the good roads good weather thing if you can't get through to your Dad with this kind of letter. Nice holiday/b'day cards, etc. But try to keep the line open because.at some point he will have had enough.
