Default Obama and Scientology, Clash of the Titans?

Today marks a significant moment in world history. To wit: The president of the United States of America, today, just called out one L. Ron Hubbard, one David Miscaviage, and one Church of Scientology (as a whole) in one singular swoop of the tongue.

    Whew! Game on.

How? Well, today President Barack Obama pulled L. Ron Hubbard's (1950 era) covers in regard to homosexuality (which 'was declared' by Hubbard to be a spiritual perversion of humanity).

And Damn. This is rich. On so many levels.

Not so much in terms of our individual and collective humanity, but far so more in terms of our collective and individual spirituality.

    Spiritual reality 101 we say.

A dick does not make a man, a man. And a vagina does not make a woman, a woman.

And Hubbard's confusion has been called to task. One a second-to-none world stage.

    Circa 2012.

note to self: when starting a new thread on ESMB, try to tone down the spectacularness of it. Even if your brother and sister (that you love with all of your heart) are gay. Lighten up. Lol.

Prove your point? I don't see a link to Obama talking about any of this?

Don't get me wrong one of the main things that made me leave was the constant guilt over my orientation but some proof of your point would be a good thing

Ah they changed the title of the article it was "Obama declears war on marriage".

fox news is a weird thing, I gather they don't like happy people.

I think I am supposed to say how wonderful this is. But it makes me want to throw up.

ANGER AND BAD LANGUAGE ALERT! TURN BACK NOW IF YOU ARE ALL LIGHT AND LOVINESS AND DON'T LIKE THE "F" WORD. (after the quote from the article.)

    http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...,2388028.story

"At a certain point, I've just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married," Obama told ABC News' Robin Roberts in an interview hastily arranged by the White House to quiet the fallout from the Biden remarks.

Obama told the"Good Morning America"anchor that he arrived at the decision by talking to gay friends, staff members, his two daughters and his wife, who he said shared his support. His Christian faith and the golden rule factored in. "In the end, the values that I care most deeply about and she cares most deeply about is how we treat other people," Obama said.

Obama had cited religion in opposing same-sex marriages as he campaigned for president, but in December 2010 declared his position was evolving. That position was widely viewed as a wink and a nod to supporters of gay rights, who believed the president was withholding a public declaration of support out of concerns about alienating some key voters...."

Fuck Obama, Fuck his wife, Fuck his daughters, Fuck the gays, Fuck the Christans, Fuck his "evolving" opinions, Fuck the "concerns of key voters", and fuck the time he took to decide to put on this SELF SERVING show. And Fuck all the other presidents who could not bring themselves to do it. And Fuck all the pea brained americans who get agitated about this little bit of freedom they deny to Gays as they go on about how important it is to have the freedom to carry a gun and other mindless crap. Fuck all of them.

Obama's recognition of same-sex marriage has zero to do with L. Ron Hubbard or Scientology.. someone's tinfoil hat needs loosening up.

I suspect Obama may regret speaking out for same-sex marriage before the election. Many Democrats and, of course, Republicans, suspect it's a political move to win votes.

Obama needs to stress his recognition of it from a humanity standpoint that no one should be discriminated against.

I feel the same, it should have been anti discrimination, not pro gay. There are more people discriminated against than just gays.

Obama didn't recognize it from a pro-gay standpoint. The media (especially the pro-GOP network Fox News), the religious right, and political pundits are claiming it's a pro-gay decision.

Ironically, the (gay organization) Long Cabin Republicans are condemning Obama for taking a stand..
