Travolta and Doug Gotterba were lovers in the 1980s, according to Travolta’s former secretary and Gotterba’s ex boyfriend. The article is in the new issue of the National Enquirer, which hits newsstands Friday.

Joan Edwards was Travolta’s secretary from 1978 to 1994 and is the first ex-employee to publicly say the actor is gay. “I did everything for him, including taking care of his personal and professional schedules. Looks like his life is coming unglued at the seams. I wonder how he is going to handle all of this.

JT would come to the FH from time to time in the 80's and would be assigned messengers. I was one of the "lucky" ones to be assigned to ensure that his stay was smooth and un-eventful.

It was quite stressful for the messenger assigned. You would be micro managed by WDC the entire time. not to mention your post duties would suffer.

For me it was odd to be serving JT like he was LRH, running around and being his messenger. I of course followed COMMAND INTENTION (which was prestty much anything WDC said, important or not.) and really did not question it much. I just rember feeling strange that I was acting as a messenger for an actor.

JT is a very sweet and nice man. He allways traveled with a few other people and is very soft spoken. He also seemed to feel a bit odd that he had messengers assigned to ensure his stay was exactly as it was supposed to be. at the time that translated into a akward silence between us and him. This would pass after a few hrs and behind closed doors he was very relaxed and funny. Gosh, I would have only been 16 at the time............
