What kind of fool rolls over and accepts a punishing divorce settlement in order to protect his 'church', when that 'church' is so clearly going out of business anyway.

The only possible explanation is blackmail. All those years of confessional auditing have given the cult a lot of folders full of dirt on Tom Cruise, and they'll go public if he doesn't toe the line. The best response would have been "Publish and be damned!" but Cruise doesn't seem to be willing or able to face down David "Courtesy Flush" Miscavige.

I've been saying for a long time that Scientology ruins lives. I think it just ruined that of its leading advocate. Nobody who is 'in' is safe now.

The kind of idiot/cultie that is keeping himself brainwashed by the hubbard rubbish that he allowed himself to be indoctrinated with in the first place, you can almost hear the cultic wheels rolling and grinding in his brain when he attempts to put a few sentences together.
"Look around your wallet and find something I can have"

    You know what is ironic?

I kind of feel sorry for Tom Cruise and his state of mind. He has to be in anguish.

But I bet if he knows the Anabaptist Jacques and heard that I was in anguish, he would consider that a win for his Church and his beliefs.

I bet he believes that Karen's anguish is a win too.

And I think that is what I feel sorry about for him the most.

Not over. Only on high media profile cases. That's my opinion.

    Tick Tock.....

    Tory/Magoo
    Tory,

The joy about the end of this is that Katie gets major custody of Suri (and not any immediate danger of being put in the Sea Org) but Tom gets liberal visitation.

Hopefully Katie has been made aware of possibilities of "parental alienation syndrome" that Tom, and his minions, might try to do with Suri.

I don't believe it - I think he is arrogant and is a true believer and he tried to steamroll Katie. Remember his line on the video about putting in ethics? I think he drew a line in the sand and she stepped over it and out the door. Then his marriage was toast.

I believe that he needed to put his house in order as Lulu Bell said, and (since he is in a condition of danger - entheta all over the media just before his next film comes out) he did the Jr. Danger formula and sent it up to COB:

    1. Bypass habits or normal routines.
Stop yelling at Kate about that squirrel Catholic upbringing she blathers about.
    2. Handle the situation and any danger in it.
I hired my damn lawyer. Let him get in her face!
    3. Assign self a Danger Condition.
I'm in danger for letting her get out of hand just like COB said would happen if I let her keep talking to her Type "A" dad
    4. Get your own personal ethics in by finding what you are doing that is out-ethics and use self-discipline to correct it and get honest and straight.
Gee. This is a hard one. I won that medal... COB is my friend... Oh Man! I took too many points on the back end on Rock of Ages. I knew that sucker was going to tank! Damn it. What was that line? Show me the money - no---OH! Get the money up front! Yeah.
    5. Reorganize your life so that the dangerous situation will not keep happening to you.
I'll pay her off, and use ARCU to keep her from 3Ping me to Suri, and when Suri is 18 16 POW!!!To the moon, Kate!
    6. Adopt clear rules and policies that in the future will detect such a condition or prevent it from developing again.
No more dating marrying cute Catholic girls.

    This is OK

COB opens a bottle of Laphroaig and explains to Topgun the current state of the "church"...

"The majority believes that everything hard to comprehend must be very profound. This is incorrect. What is hard to understand is what is immature, unclear and often false. The highest wisdom is simple and passes through the brain directly into the heart"

Well, now that you bring it up, one wonders how a Scientologist can have wins on others' suffering.

Hey, wait just a second. Let's be fair and recall that Tom was quite adamant about the fact that "...ruthlessly puts ethics in on himself". You have to admit, he certainly seems to take responsibility quite seriously!

Alas! There seems to be some kind of extreme & troubling contradiction.

Oh, wait, I get it. It's a idiom.

Ruthlessly put ethics in on oneself - idiom. To determine the greatest good for oneself & ones own survival across ones own dynamics, known in the wog world as 'monomaniacal selfishness'.

You see? Tom is ruthlessly putting in ethics on his dynamics. For himself.

In reality, it's just a First Dynamic, broken into 8 little departments, like an org board.

    Scientology in one word? HelluvaHoax!

I never felt as free as when I freed myself from "Total Freedom".

For offended Scientologists reading this blasphemy about L. Ron Hubbard---my apologies for talking about real life without lying to you, like Scientology, with goo-goo theta-talk. I know you don't have a floating needle right now. You're not supposed to.
