Perhaps this will clear it up.

Mormons belief is that that a Jewish man flew to the Americas to teach the native Americans. This could be thought of as Silly. But it is harmless. Scientology believes there was a guy named Xenu, that to me is silly, but it is harmless.

Brainwashing and controlling people and having work-camps and compounds with razor wire facing inside and so on is not silly beliefs, it is evil.

Where in the world did 'pointing fingers' come into this? It does indeed address manipulation from their (OP's) perspective though.
