and the Clams think it is a bad thing? I LOVE SQUIRRELS!

There's a tag-line somewhere around here - or there used to be - which has a pithy rejoinder should you every be seriously called a squirrel; it goes something like this:

"you only have to worry about squirrels if you're a nut"

I think that "Squirrel" is their word for heretic. Like a Free Zoner or something.

I am loving the little critterz myself. Why the old windbag chose that particular animal as a form of malignment is beyond me, just part and parcel of his usual moon-battiness imho, I mean really, wouldn't a louse or a slug or a virus of some ilk have been better?

I remember him saying something about one running round and round in a wheel and getting nowhere. Which seemed odd to me, as I knew of mice or guinea pigs doing that but a "pet squirrel"?

Maybe he was thinking of their propensity for gathering nuts, and thought that was an appropriate analogy for people flocking to a squirrel group.
