I was checking out the location of a stealth Narconon center (called Best Drug Rehabilitation Services) on Google Maps.

I noticed several glowing reviews of the place, and so I dropped this one in:

If someone you love needs treatment, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! This is a Scientology cult based treatment center (Narconon) and most of the money spent toward treatment goes to throw half million dollar birthday parties for Tom Cruise. Seriously! It is based on the non-scientific and non-medically peer reviewed program of detox invented by L Ron Hubbard who never got a college degree. They force you to take large quantities of vitamins including huge doses of Niacin which can damage the liver. They do not test your liver function until after you have gone through detox, so any liver damage caused by the huge toxic Niacin doses cannot be blamed on the program... They'll tell you that it was because of your drug or alcohol abuse and you'll believe them because you are completely vulnerable. There have been 5 deaths at Narconon facilities that use this detox method. After detox, the program consists of Scientology training (they have different covers for the workbooks but it is the same material used in Scientology.) They will tell you to stare at an ashtray and then command the ashtray to stand up and sit down. Why? Because that's part of Scientology indoctrination! PLEASE GOOGLE these words and learn more: NARCONON and SCIENTOLOGY

It then occurred to me... A lot of people use Google Maps to get directions. I'm thinking that there is a good chance that those Moms and Dads and so on who are going to drive their kids or loved ones to these remote locations will check out Google Maps first, and maybe see the reviews there.

So I have hit several of the locations that I know of that are stealth Narconons or their detox centers.

We need to hit the detox houses too because that is often the first location and not necessarily located close to the main center - in the case of Best Rehab, the detox center was 100 miles away in Battle Creek, MI.

So, here is my proposal for action:

• On Google Maps, write reviews warning people of the deception of Narconon and associated detox centers.
• Give the place a Zero rating.
• Vote down those glowing reviews that are most likely written by the staff. (under the "was this review useful" click "No.")
• Vote up the reviews that warn of the dangers of Narconon (click "Yes" this review was useful.)

Please help! The least you can do is click on the "Yes" for my reviews to drive them to the top.
